Okay, I have played this server for like hella long (2014 i think), and it’s honestly stayed the same for like most of the time. Not many new and big updates have been rolled out to help make the server better. One of my suggestions is events. Basically, what I mean by this is like more server wide events to get players more involved the game. For example, some events could be a maze event, parkour event or maybe even a pvp event. There could be top 3 winners and each winner would get a small prize, better as you go up. Events could happen once a week at random times, so you would have to be on to know if an event was going to happen. There could be like an announcement that the event was going to happen around 15 minutes before, one for 10, and one for 5. I don’t really play the server anymore, but I used to love playing, so i’m just suggesting some things that could help bring back how good the server was back then. Let me know what you guys think, give some more suggestions and feedback pls!
well they did do a maze this halloween, if you didnt know that and there is drop parties practically every holiday.
That Halloween maze was basically 3 steps and you're out. It was honestly one of the most boring things at that warp. I support this because Skyblock needs more excitement in it.
I think something like this could be cool. I used to have a mini-game plugin for a survival server with my friends, where I could start minigames like spleef, TNT run, parkour, one in the chamber, and a few others. Something like that could very cool here. It could either be hosted on a blank island plot on the map that gets deleted after the event, or could be run in a separate server that you get to with /event. It'd take a bit to setup, but once they had it they would be able to use it all the time easily, and give players some fun events to look forward to besides drop parties and custom crafting recipes. Have some staff online to watch over the event and make sure nobody is hacking or playing unfair, and then have predefined rewards (or mystery rewards) for the top 10-25 or so players. I'm not sure how open staff would be to that idea, as I know this cluster of servers is all purely original ideas, and has thus far been spared from generic Minecraft mini-games. I think having the mini-games as temp events makes it better, though, so that nobody ever starts to see the server as just a mini-game server.
I think idea of adding events is good. However, it could possibly be 2 different type of events. One of the options is to add events hosted by staff members, preferably by an event manager. This would require some effort put into it, and they could host events such as parkour, pig racing, maze, spleef, etc. They could maybe build different event maps/games. And they could have a schedule rolling and the events should be weekly or monthly. This is a thing I’ve seen on another server, it is very appreciated by the community. But for the time being, I think these type of events would be difficult because a lot of the staff members are busy and probably can’t provide the tome that it requires. The other type of event is minor events that are automatically hosted by a plugin. This could be like envoys at /spawn or something simple like that. This would maybe be hard to implement, I am not a developer so I do not know how hard it could possibly be. This would definitely benefit the server because it would be fun and if you are currently bored of just playing Minecraft, you get to do something else for a short amount of time. Also, with the envoys it’s possible to balance the economy if necessary. Personally, I would prefer both to be added to this server, the backside of this is that it would require some time, especially from the developers. Also, I think that the community is willing to help if it would be necessary.
Support. I do have a couple of concerns with this idea though. The different events if they happened once a week would soon become boring to the majority of the server. What would the rewards be? To prevent the economy from being bogged down with so many different rares from these events, the rewards would need to be something like grass etc. What would the event venues be? In order to produce variety, there would need to be multiple settings for events. This would need to be built by the build team, which would mean it is not a quick job. These places would also need to be added as warps, which may have some downsides of its own. Staff held or automated? The problem is, if things like this are happening weekly unlike the large events such as the seasonal drop parties - the staff team are busy people and may not always be free or able to turn up to host these events. You would need to delegate someone as event host to determine what it would be that week, and where it would be held. (This person could change weekly though). However, if the server held events automatically like the maze at Halloween you would have to put a timer on it so the event expired shortly after it was created. This may be a problem. Conclusion? I like this idea, but perhaps it should be every 2 weeks to ensure people still look forward to it. You would also need to choose an event master every week to make it go smoothly and/ or host, and the reward needs to be currency items if it is a regular occurrence.
i support more events. i think the headhunt we did for halloween was super exiting! more of that and maybe some other events too
Thx it was my idea lol but pls no hate me cuz of the cobwebs xd. Also support. I admit, it can get a little boring here but maybe add in weekly or even monthly events that have rewards people can win without abusing them via alts or using cheats.
