Hi skyblockers, There are regularly a few issues where players inventories and being filled while AFK at farms. I appreciate this is more of an economy issue but may apply to skyblock aswell. Here is what I was thinking as a solution: 1. Disabling item dropping on items you are not trusted on. This would prevent inventories being filled with random junk interupting your farm and balance progress. Having this disabled for untrusted members would keep you certain that your inventory won't be filled. --- Another issue is players collecting farm items from farms they do not own/have not worked towards. 1. Disabling untrusted player item collection. Having the same solution in place would eliminate the risk of players using your farm without consent. There is nothing more fustrating that players gaining advantage from your well designed farms. As I said before, this is prodominantly an issue on economy but i'd love to hear skyblock feedback as to whether this affects you or not. I am not much of a farmer. A complication that may be encountered with this is trading. This could be fixed by having a /setting which enables/disables players from dropping or collecting items so you don't have to trust them; you just have to be super careful with your settings. A further question you may have would be dispensers/droppers. Don't fear for your casino's. These redstone redesigns will still drop as normal. Please note: Players who are trusted would bypass the island setting regardless of what toggle mode the setting is at. I'd love to hear your feedback and opinion on this. I like the idea, might take a bit to implement it, and defiently a little backlash just because it's something new. I'm guessing it will be an island setting that you can make certain things impossible for people to pick up?
I was leaning more towards all items being unable to be collected by players. The setting would determine whether or not untrusted players are able to collect items.
Not all people have access to two islands. I did also say, dispensers/droppers wouldn't be affected. If possible, they would drop items as normal.
support would be hopeful in case you claim ur kit while having a full inventory and enderchest and having someone steal the items you've dropped from claiming your kit.
I do like the idea of being able to break blocks without locking your island out of concern for someone looting possible drops if you miss them e.g moving beacon locations, shops around and rare item displays, might even help prevent item drop glitches like the item frame issue from being effective too? even so a nice QOL feature for sure if added 10/10
Is there potentially more that can be explored in regards to this with collecting broken items and blocks on island, I understand (I think) that it would be difficult but some way to maybe toggle items being broken to automatically go into the breaking players inventory such as pig spawners etc so that it also prevents some items flying off into the middle of no where unless boxed in? Just more food for thought in regards to this suggestion
There's definitely a plugin for that I believe! I've seen it on another server, and yes for such cases it'd be amazing to have.
