In this Thread I will once and for all tell everyone about chest shops! Lets begin! Selling Shops Selling shops are the chest shops that most people use. In these shops you normally sell items. As for every single chest shop in this tutorial you must put a sign on the chest to begin. To then iniciate the selling you must type a few things. First row: [Trade] Second row: The amount you want to sell Third row: The price. That will look like this: Then this will update to this: Now just punch the sign and you are set! Then it will look like this! Stock up the shop with items and players can come buying! Buying Shops Same set up as before, but now put 'buy' in the lowest row: This will in practise look like this: Again puch the sign with what you want to get: And voila! Put some grass in the shop and now players can sell stuff in your shop for grass! Barter Shops In this type of shop you trade items that are not grass. In my example people give me 1 mutton and then can get 5 cobblestone. To make this shop: Row 1: [Trade] Row 2: the amount of the item they get Row 3: The amount of the item you get Row 4: trade This will normally look like this: Now first punch the sign with the item they get. Then punch the sign with the item you get. This will then look like this: Free Shops When making a free shop, just make a selling shop, but set the price at 0. There will be no attachements as I reached the max. This concludes all types of different chest shops! Please like as this took a bit of time! Now you do not have to go around asking everyone how to make them. If still in doubt, visit /warp info. If you have any questions ask them below! Thanks for reading!
Very handy... The only reason someone would choose this over a tutorial at somewhere like SkyDerp or Audibility is for the barter shop... well, shop.
I made a very similar guide a while back haha. Except mine used the closing statement to talk about checking shop transactions, while you opted to show the making of free shops I prefer the forums guides for shops, as they show you step by step what things will look like as you go. You can also be on your island with the guide open in one tab while you create the shop. That way you don't have to worry about memorizing things right away, or taking screenshots and going back and forth.
