Note: Crop hoppers can auto harvest whatever crops are listed on it within a given chunk Auto, Semi-Auto or manual means the farming method. Namely, can the farm be auto harvested, can it be semi-auto harvested, or, does it require some good ol' manual labor to make it work. All factors to consider when getting farms And now, for the Crop farm selling price guide Crop Farming: Sell price: $53.76 for Wheat, $61.44 for Potatoes and Carrots Average price to set up: $800 to $107,000 Return rate: Average Details on farm: Crop farming - Seen in villages in the overworld, it's usually a player’s main source of food until they can farm animals for their meat or other products, however can also provide some decent food when starting out Crop Hopper Compatible: Sort of (explained in negatives) Crop Hopper Level required: Lvl 2 at least (Optional, but not required) Positives: Great food source when starting off, can bake potatoes in a furnace to turn it into a baked potato, which can restore 5 points of hunger (2 and a half shanks in your hunger bar), wheat can be turned into bread, or combined with other ingredients to make cookies and cake, growth can be sped up with Bonemeal, lvl 2 and 3 crop hoppers work with this Negatives: Some light level required to speed up growth, each dirt block has to be tilled with a hoe to plant crops on it; a water source is required to be within 9 blocks of the dirt or grass blocks tilled Tier level: Ordinary Final thoughts: Crop farms are an awesome food source when beginning on an island, however offers a pretty ordinary return rate when it comes to making money from it. If used correctly, and managed properly, this will effectively solve any problems related to hunger, and somewhat solve your money problem.
