A new week has started, so also time for me to submit a new suggestion. It is about the /back command.

Many of you will know the problem with the /back command. You are on a locked island and you use /back. Now the command is unusable until the next server restart. Sometimes you can fix this by typing /home many times, but even this is not a permanent solution.

    Here is my suggestion:

A new "/back clear" command with which you can delete the last saved position and thus reset it.

I think this would help a lot of people who have had problems with this.

As always, please let me know your opinion on the whole thing. Stay healthy and have a nice week!

Definitely support and what a brilliant suggestion. I often get /back(ed) to another location I didn’t mean to go to again so it’s sad :sob:

Hey Blade. I tend to fix mine by doing this:

    /is
/visit (next location) /tpa (next location)
    /is
/back (this then takes me to the 2nd location)
Wait at each location for 5-10 seconds so the command catches up with you.

Sometimes it is hit and miss but is something worth trying.
Relogging is also another way to reset your /back if the above method fails.

I do like the idea of a /back clear or /back reset though :D

Hi Megan, thanks for your feedback. As described above, there are probably several different ways to fix the /back command. But as you also described, they don't always work 100% reliably. So it would definitely be easier to introduce a /back clear command :D

Hi Morayeel, thanks for your feedback as well. As described above, sometimes it seems to work, but sometimes it doesn't.

    Support,

I don’t know if it would be possible since the plug-in isn’t made by the developers and as far as I know Essentials-X doesn’t have those commands so the configuration would be kinda difficult.

Thanks Rolly, I know that the command is not their own. But as far as my understanding goes, the last position must be cached somewhere. So it would only be necessary to add that the cache is emptied. So I think it should not be so complicated. I must say that I have no knowledge of programming.

/back works in coordination with /jump.

If you want to reset it just simply type /jump and then go to the location you would want to /back from, then if you keep on typing /back you can go back and fourth between the place you "set" as /jump and the place you first used /back after "setting" it if that makes sense.

I would be happy to demonstrate it in-game if you'd like clarification

But overall no support, I think it's unnecessary.
