Resolved Back after 7 years?

I honestly didn't think the island would still be here after that long but lo and behold me and my younger sibling log into the exact same island we had
Small problem within those seven years our usernames have changed and now we can't get in to anything on our island. Neither of us want to restart it and we're both curious what we left in those chests is there any way to gain access to them?
