Sand is now available as a reward from the Mob Arena. This is a much better way of getting sand than from island farming. Iron ingots are also available from Mob Arena. It is no longer a commodity controlled by donor kits.

I propose Cyp change the rules to allow the sale of normal sand, sandstone, tnt, and empty buckets.

support. i have a dc and maybe even more of just sand. the only way to use it is sell it as glass, or terra-form, but i rarely use sand. (tried to make a beach, and failed.)

also, one day i accidentally made 64 buckets. don't ask how or why.

I don't mind that it's not allowed, I just find it frustrating when you can't drop sand from your kit. Neutral.

if sand was made legal, there would be no reason why not to be able to drop it like any other block/item.

But sand is a really laggy block which could cause the server to bottleneck with there being large quantities of people with sand on the server.

It only lags when it's being updated (to my knowledge, and it's very minimal lag) Unless people coat their islands in spawners, pressure plates, and sand, that shouldn't be a problem lol.
    Anyways yeah support.

Sand is a benefit of donating aswell, don't forget that it is probably a reason a few people donate, it would take away from that privileged if it were allowed.

When I was a non donor within 2 weeks of starting I had over a double chest of sand and around 2 double chests of grass on my island (donated by donors but lol). Sand isn't hard to come by, donors have too much if anything. Nobody would donate specifically for the sand in the kit. As a few people stated above they don't know how to get rid of it. Still, I see what you're talking about.

Many new people have quit because they cannot get sand for their cactus or for building. Having resources more available instead of donor exclusive helps this server be more EULA compliant too. I know Cyp has said in chat that he wants this place to follow EULA.

And many children play on this server without access to money, let alone a paypal account to donate to the server.

What makes sand laggy? It is not a block entity like signs or banner or furnaces. Do you perhaps mean when it is falling? First time I heard sand causes lag. I understand TNT could cause lag.

I dislike the fact that you can't drop it either and it is frustrating and I also understand that donors have a lot, inc. myself.

I don't not support your suggestion, I'm just neutral on the topic at the moment before I get some more perspectives from people.

What a waste of perfectly good blocks. You could at least make some grass blocks by selling the sand as glass :p
