Typing in colour is both a great and creative thing to have. It's more aesthetically pleasing when using colours rather than just using plain black text. I hope this guide helps anyone who may have any confusion in regards to colour codes! Before we start, I’d like to clarify that on Skyblock only Skyknights+ can use colour codes in chat, and on Economy only Premiums+ can use colour codes in chat. However, non-donors can use colours in /m or /msg (private message). Text effects can only be used with pets and in private message. When typing in chat, you can use multiple colour codes in a sentence. For example, &cHey there &3Mai! Will come out as: Hey there Mai! Typing on signs have the exact same idea as typing with colours in chat. ALL players can use colours on signs. For example: Will come out as: Note that putting a sign facing East & West will produce a slightly brighter colour compared to signs that are facing North & South For example: Typing with colours in books When it comes to books, it's a bit different to type in colour however it's quite simple too. ALL players can type in colour when it comes to books. 1) Open your book! 2) Now, we will type in colour. Please type this symbol into your book "§" followed by any of the colour codes (or text codes) shown above such as a-f or 1-9. For example "§aHello!" It would produce something like this: 3) You can type in multiple colours too, just place the symbol & letter/number again before the next colour. For example "§aHello §cthere §bMai!" will produce something like this: When it comes to text effects, you can do the exact same thing but with the letters that correspond to each effect. For example "§mheythere§kmai" will produce: You can also mix colours and effects together!! Add the colour code before the text effect code for it to work. For example "§a§mHey there Mai!" There you go ! P.s. you can also use online generators like this one to produce the colours/codes for you if you're too lazy to do it on Minecraft yourself. Pets You can use colours/text effects on your pet names! For example, typing "&km&echicky jr jr jr&r&k&m" will produce: (chicky owo) Island MOTD/Welcome message You can type /sb and click on the map/paper to see the MOTD/Welcome commands! You can use colours on your message of the day (MOTD). For example "/setmotd set 1 &k.&ahi&r&k." will produce this: You can do the same for your welcome message! Use "/setwelcome (message)" to set a welcome message.
