Alerts suggestion and alerts bug.

Hey guys!
So as you can see by the title, I have a suggestion about the Alerts feature and I will also be talking about a bug as well.

I will post a screenshot that will show what I am suggesting (but I’ll talk about it as well to lessen the confusion), and it will also show the bug that you can clearly see (I’ll explain this as well).


So as you can see, the first (upper) circle is Storm_Striker_ starting a thread in a section that I am “watching” (receiving notifications from). My suggestion is basically saying (if it’s possible) that which section he posted in. He created a thread in the “Suggestions” section, so the alert should say, “Storm_Striker_ started a thread called [title] in the section “Suggestions.” There may be more posts after this.”
If it’s possible to do that, please let me know Leeeroieee.

My next suggestion is within the second (bottom) circle. It shows me getting an alert from archerexpert777 but it’s not giving me any details about it. Is it maybe some sort of bug where he does something to give me an alert but then maybe deletes that post or whatever which probably bugs the alert? I have no idea, and it’s been happening to me quite often. (Thanks archerexpert777).

I support both of these. The bug that you were talking about hasn't happened to me, but if it is happening to others, it should be fixed.

I get this a lot with you and Skylx_ haha. If we get an alert when someone mentions us in a post, why not get one for profile posts we post in? I doesn't show up if you're not in a discussion on a profile.

 

It’s a glitch to do with XenForo itself, pretty sure. This has come up many times but I don’t think XenForo has fixed it. Hey ho, still wait for Lee’s reply, I could just be talking rubbish. Support.

Support. Although I don't think the first one is as necessary as the second. You can generally tell by the prefix and the title where the thread is posted, and they can be found easily enough through new posts, and actually in the sections themselves.

Support especially the tagging-alert bug. Its so annoying that you have to search around players' profile pages to see where you were tagged in.
