I don’t think they are considered illegal - I haven’t heard anything about this being illegal. But they do kinda defeat the point of the afk timeout.
Again, from what I've heard they're not illegal. However, considering the timeout is there, it may be worthwhile considering whether you absolutely must go AFK for longer than 30 minutes, or whether you can afford to log out.
