Skyblock Add the option of Selling Grass on Tradeshops

I have had some issues related to this regarding the selling of grass for diamonds. Currently to do that you would have to set up the tradeshop the way you would for diamonds, but instead use "Buy" at the very bottom of the sign. This makes it confusing to people whether you're selling diamonds or Grass as you don't know what is which and have someone tell you that the price of the diamonds (as shown on the trade shop chest even though you meant to sell grass) is terrible.

My suggestion is to add the option to sell Grass at tradeshops to make it easier to trade with.

 

The reason we can't do this is that our standard currency is grass blocks. If you want to sell grass for a different currency, you can either set up a Buy shop as you described, or you can set up a Barter shop, which works almost exactly the way that the trade chests work on /classic.

 

The only problem with that is the confusion of whether you're selling diamonds or grass. I'm saying is that you add the option to sell Grass for tradeshops to make it more clear. Hopefully it's more clearer

 

It sounds to me like what you are suggesting is a return to the shop sign format used for /classic, but with the improved graphics and mechanics of the chest shops on /skyblock, am I right?

The shop sign format would simply be:

[trade]
## Item Selling
## Item Price
SellerName (filled in automatically)

Example:

[Trade]
22 Grass
1 Diamond
archerexpert777

And the floaty item shown above the chest would match the item you're selling, in this case, grass.

Is that what you had in mind?

Okay, I like that idea. This would be a pretty major redesign of the plugin, though. I don't think it's impossible to do, and it would actually simplify it a lot, but it's not something we can turn around any time soon with our current workload and limited availability.

We'll have to see if it's something that can be done without breaking existing shops or confusing players too much, and if it's doable, we'll have to see where it fits in with our current development backlog.

 

It does not have to be right now, it can be once your workload has reduced

Support, would find this useful if I'm selling a named grass block or am asking for grass blocks as donations

 

Support, This would be good like SkySupply selling grass for items.

 

Support maybe for economy too but with cash because with economy you have to type in the item tag

 

I think it is too much for both servers, well at least in terms of the workload for the developers right now

Support, i have been asking although they never seem to reply with a reasonable reason why we cannot get grass in trades.

 

So it's been couple of weeks right now and, would like to hear some additional feedback from the community from this. As of now, I still think we need this implemented.

However, isn't there a way to sell grass with the [Wanted] tradeshop? Lee said it would be difficult to make, so I believe they should focus on other things before this.
