    Punished account name: NotErics
Platform or server punished on: /Skyblock, /Economy
Ban message if applicable: Malicious Vandalism
I have previously and recently read over the rules

Do you think this punishment was incorrect? No
Why should you be unbanned? See Below

To whom it may concern, I was banned on both /Skyblock and /Economy in early April for malicious vandalism. I have taken the time to consider my actions and the impact it could have, and did have on Skyblock. I fully understand why the ban was given and deserved. I stayed involved with the community on discord and the forums since April because I’ve made a lot of friends through the years and miss being able to play alongside them. Needless to say I truly do regret my actions and the role I played in hitting the map ID limit. With that being said I do know that I have a ban history on Skyblock and that is something I unfortunately cannot get rid of. With each of my bans I have had something to takeaway from it and move past repeating said offenses. I’ve been active in the Skyblock discord and forums and With all considered, I would like to ask for another chance to join the active community on Skyblock.

Please list any other times you were punished on Skyblock: I have previous bans on Skyblock
If you know, tag the staff member that banned you: Noobcrew
Do you understand and accept our rules and code of conduct? Yes I understand and accept the rules and code of conduct

Hello Eric, thank you for your appeal. As I was part of the investigation into the map art incident, I will be handling this appeal on behalf of the staff team and Noobcrew. : )

I apologize for the delay in this response, I was awaiting a few responses from members of the staff team as this was discussed with other members of staff. I appreciate your patience!

As you likely know, permanent bans are not able to be appealed. That said, there have been other instances in the past where a permanent ban appeal may have been accepted due to specific circumstances. This is typically done if the player shows genuine remorse for their actions, they show they want to be involved in the community again, a significant amount of time has passed, among many other reasons. I would like you to keep this in mind as I continue with your appeal.

Thank you for understanding the reason behind your ban and regretting your actions. We appreciate you being open about the mistakes you have made in the past, this goes a long way with the staff team. That said, we still have concerns about your actions, especially when we consider your punishment history.

I'm happy to hear you have taken away valuable lessons from your previous bans. I hope that is truly the case. I just find it concerning that no more than a few days had passed since you last ban before you participated in the map art incident. Considering you were only back a few days, I would've hoped you would've taken more consideration into participating in hitting the map art limit and the possible consequences it may have. I understand that you knew what would happen if it was hit, so I suppose my question is why you still did it.

The aftermath of the incident was not an easy nor quick fix unfortunately. To be frank, unfortunately we have a hard time trusting that something like this will not happen again. I appreciate your assurance that it wouldn't, but I hope you can understand that there are still those who have a difficult time trusting this.

After much consideration, the staff team has decided that we will not be unbanning you at this time. You are welcome to re-appeal in a month if you desire to. That said, we really appreciate the effort you have made in participating with the community on discord and the forums. This is a solid first step towards gaining trust, and it is something we have noticed.

If you have any questions, comments or concerns I will be leaving this thread open for awhile after posting this response.

    Thank you for your time,

    - Bree

    Hey Bree,
No worries at all for the delay I did not expect this to be an quick process.

I understand why that is a concerning detail, coming back from a ban and going through with hitting the map ID limit was not the brightest plan to say the least. I did think about the consequences, but did not think that it would unfold in the way it did.

I did know what would happen if it was hit, but was blinded by the thought of getting an item that would be highly coveted among map artists/rare collectors. Obviously this was not close to a logical reason to do it, and was a severe lapse of judgement.

I do want to apologize to any and all members of the staff team who were impacted, and spent the time to fix the aftermath of my actions. I fully understand why others would have a hard time trusting this, but I hope that not only through my words but my actions I can regain said trust.

    All the best,
    Eric

Hey Eric, thanks for the reply.

Thanks for understanding that this is another main factor in your appeal. I appreciate you being forthcoming that you made mistakes and are owning up to it.

Thank you for the honesty, that is refreshing to hear. I think goes without saying that getting a rare item while subsequently ruining said item for the rest of the server is not a good reason to do what you did. I hope you can look back and learn from this.

Thank you for the apology. If you have anything else to add to this, please let me know otherwise I will close this soon.
