I feel like most people use the "natural mob spawning" setting mainly for farms and it becomes very annoying when hostile mobs spawn all over your island, when you really only want them to spawn in a certain area. I think this would help server performance and would also fix the problems with the mob spawn limit.

This would be nice to have especially to stop slimes from spawning because they will spawn even if you light up the area, causing you to spawn proof your whole area and making it ulgy. However it brings risk when building these farms. It brings a risk to reward ratio which brings a challenge to the server. I wouldn't mind this addition mainly for slimes however mob spawning will be hugely different in 1.19, so this changes might not be as necessary in this update.

This would potentially consume a lot of extra storage so it's very unlikely that we implement something like this. It also wouldn't really make a difference performance wise.

If it effects performance then it's a good idea we don't add this. Pros don't out wieght the cons.

I do not support this idea because it further strays away from the survival aspect of the game into the automation aspect.
