Implemented Fix signs in 1.19+

Currently in 1.19-1.19.1, even after the server was updated, I've noticed signs still continue to not work. I've seen a lot of people asking why their signs wont work, and it would be easier if it was fixed, would make it so people wouldn't have to switch versions to use signs

 

Although players can join in later versions, the current server is on1.12.2 and there are glitches in later versions. But don't worry. when the new updates are done all this should work perfectly, hopefully, as we will all be playing the latest version. I doubt if there is anything that can be done until then.

 

I'm fully aware how the server glitches in newer versions, however I feel like if they were able to fix fences, gates, etc. I feel like Dex could figure out a solution to this problem Its not a super necessary suggestion as players can just switch versions, but it'd make things easier.

Won’t this be resolved when the server actually updates to 1.19? Not sure it would need an actual fix before then.

 

While the server's been "Fixed" to patch this issue the actual issue still remains, ie the point of this thread.

However, I expect this to be an issue with ViaVersion - and may be something that may not actually be managable. Obviously, all plugins (especially public ones) are open-source, so it would be possible to "fix" something like this, not too sure though.

Of course it'll be resolved if the server updates to 1.19, but who can say for certain if this beta will be successful?

 

Hello, I support looking for ways to fix this as I am not confident in the 1.19 update coming before a fee months time

 

I feel like it should be fixed as it is still a bug that causes trouble for players, may not be the biggest issue, but it would still help to fix

Agreed, although the beta is being worked on, it could still be awhile until the full release of 1.19 to skyblock, hence why I feel this issue should be attempted to be fixed now, instead of waiting.

It is, just doublechecked, it appears only to be an issue in 1.19 and 1.191.

 

This seems fixed because I am on 1.19 and it works well atm.

 

Latest version of the ViaVersion plugin (plugin that adds newer version support)'s changelog:
- Fix sign opening on 1.12 servers for 1.19+

My best guess is the plugin was updated, adding this fix with the latest version.
