Wow! Can't wait to fully experience these new changes! With all those new changes, do we know if it's planned to be a migration to the existing servers or are we gonna start fresh again ?
Great to see things happening in this space. Drogo is aware this is Beta, so comments below are not complaints, just questions and issues that will likely arise from these changes. Nice job on the auto sell crop hopper or balance hopper (bopper) This will of course kill all profit shops as no crops will go to those shops. A huge loss to greenies but new things are in place. Q. Who is deemed to be the owner of the cropper, the owner of the island or the player that placed them? Depending on the answer to this. - Alts might not be able to load farms, so anyone player with farms on more than two islands will lose out in a big way. - If a farm is spread across two islands, then a player can only benefit from half of it.
"Welcome to Economy beta 1.19. After nine years in development, hopefully it will have been worth the wait." - Crewnoob In all seriousness, this sounds like a lot of interesting changes are coming! Looking forward to checking them out and seeing if anything needs to be patched up!
If at all possible, it would be great to see hoppers reverted back to pass 1 item at a time rather than 16 so that item sorters work properly. Drogo understands this is a performance vs QOL thing but maybe worth consideration. Drogo has sorting systems that work on Skyblock using rapid redstone pulses that are possibly more demanding than normal hopper functionality.
Dexuby damn thank you so much for all the hard work youve been doing! You too Megan and Noobcrew hehe. Cant wait to maybe help with building some warps using 1.19 blocks in the future : )
The owner of the cropper is the island owner. Any account can load anyones cropper. You do not have to be it’s owner. Someone else can AFK at your farm HOWEVER the money would go to you rather than the person who AFKs the farm. It is to my knowledge that, this second part is correct, the island owner will benefit from the money, therefore having 2 separate farms would be the only way for two accounts to receive 2 islands worth of income. Dexuby can confirm as to whether this is correct, however.
Thanks Megan. Drogo split his farms across his and an alts border so that he had more hoppers to feed into profit shops, in order to help the greenies. According to point 5 of Dexs notes on croppers, the owner will get the balance only if he’s online. If so, Drogo will lose half his income. Choco Orange who built a third farm mainly to benefit others, will also now lose any income that was generating. If the owner gets paid when offline or could be designated by who ever privates the cropper with a sign, then that would be great.
Well… the chunk loading system will still apply. If set up correctly, you can still run your 2x1 farm as those chucks will be loaded. You could just put the other alternate account at spawn to you will still receive it’s income. Correct me if I am wrong but, Wouldn’t that still work?
Drogo has two farms, no bigger than anyone else's, but both spread out over island boundaries. Currently, they only need two players online to function but if the owner needs to be online to be paid, I would need all 4 online at once. If the owner is still paid when offline, as happens with shops normally, then it's not a problem. Will wait for Dex to respond. Might be worrying over nothing. Another question. Will auto selling croppers mean that there will be no crops to sell at /warp shop, unless farmed the old fashioned way?
