This is likely the longest thing I’ve posted on the forums after rewriting the server rules some time ago and some of my appeal responses. Only this time around, I’m not writing a wall of boring text. I’m writing a post to remember my time on this server as I step down from my staff position. I’ve been on the team since January 3rd, 2016 (with a small resignation period in early-to-mid 2016) and have been witness to peaks of activity and inactivity, new servers, and iconic moments in Skyblock history (most people now don’t understand what TheCarrotThief means, but I feel pride in remembering this even though I wasn’t staff at the time). As of today, I have officially been on the team for six years since I got Trial Moderator on July 23rd, 2016 for the second time. Throughout my time on the staff team, I’ve handed out a lot of warnings, mutes, kicks, and bans, as well as handling quite a few appeals (which is something I’ll oddly miss) and whitelisting most blocked IPs. I wasn’t always the most active or most liked staff member, but I tried to be around as much as possible for when I was needed. I’d be lying if I said this wasn’t a difficult decision and that I wasn’t thinking about it for months. I’ve thought about stepping down multiple times, and even tried legitimately resigning once (it was a mid-breakdown decision). There are some people who have spent hours listening to me go back-and-forth about whether or not I should step down. I don’t want to put anyone on the spot, but I owe so much to everyone who helped me get my thoughts together. Thank you so much for being there when I needed a push in the right direction. I eventually decided to step down for many reasons, but the main one is that I need to move forward in my life. I don’t feel comfortable diving too much into this subject, but I think that resigning after six years is a good start towards focusing on my future. I want to focus on my college applications, and learn more about my interests that will hopefully develop into a career. I want to be able to live my life without feeling worried about the current state of the server, which is something I’ve been doing since I joined the team. I feel like I’m finally at a place where I can step down without feeling guilty for leaving. After being on the team for over 6 years, I’ve had the pleasure of meeting hundreds of people from all around the world. I recorded as many of theses memories as possible in my info tab to look back at at a later date (if you want to see Skyblock through my eyes, my info tab is a great place to start). There’s no possible way for me to thank every individual person who has made a positive impact on me during my time on Skyblock, so I wanted to give a huge thank you to everyone who has supported me and worked alongside me from the time I started to the time I left. There are some people who have stuck with me for years as a strong friend or have been someone I once spoke to that I’ll never forget. Bossgamer. You are the kindest person I have ever met and likely will ever meet. There’s so much I have to thank you for, but I’ll try to keep it short. You were there for me when I needed someone, and you made me feel better. I cherish our league days, our murder days, our mutual appreciation for Taylor Swift (which, by the way, thank you for constantly freaking out about her to me to the point where I finally became a fan), and the time we spoke to each other for over 24 hours in less than a week. I’m so proud of you. Thank you for being you. Thank you Kerahna for being a strong, reliable friend who occasionally gave me medical advice and taught me how to open/close my curtains. You were a mix of a really good friend and a work-mom, and I appreciate everything you’ve done for me. Thank you to Cyk753, Krissy, and 52Phenomenon for being outstanding moderators and for dealing with my rants about practically everything. And thank you for not thinking I was absolutely insane when I was crying in a voice call (I really love you guys for everything you’ve done, and this is just a funny/slightly embarrassing memory). Thank you to Leeeroieee for everything. You brought Skyblock back when we thought it couldn’t be saved. There’s so much I have to thank fran for. I don’t know if I can sum it up in only a few words. Fran, thank you for teaching me to be true to myself, and reminding me how important it is that I do what I need to do. Thank you for supporting me when I felt like nobody was, and thank you for always knowing what to say. Te amo para siempre Thank you to Lemonade for being my first mentor and teaching me everything I know. Thank you to @blaq_ for explaining how logblock works in a TeamSpeak call. Thank you to my very first Staff Team in 2016 for your endless chaos (especially in TeamSpeak staff meetings and forums staff chat). Thank you to Nena and Mai for being awesome coop members (Lemonade’s classic island was sick, and I really miss that time). Thank you to Purplevillager1 for being a big sister to me. Thank you to SkyCane for staying up late with me to talk for hours. I miss doing this, and so much time has passed that we really need to catch up on. Thank you to LivingShadow for being one of my first friends. I don’t know if you’ll see this anytime soon, but I miss playing with you when you were on your brother’s account. Thank you to (NS) for always being a blast to be around (and for tolerating my 2016 days of playing league quietly in my basement when I didn’t have a microphone). Thank you to Janice for being someone I could always rely on, even though you didn’t play Skyblock. Thank you to boba for being the annoying little brother I never had. Your passion for everything you do is extraordinary, and you deserve more credit than you get (and thank you for reading through a bunch of things I write. Without you, I wouldn’t have sent the email to my teachers about college recommendations). Thank you to Jesus Christ for never failing to make me laugh and for introducing me to a group of people I’ve quickly grown to love. Thank you to mat t for your kindness and to clxrity for being lovely (I think lovely is the best way to describe you for all you’ve done for me). Thank you to prxc for being the mentally-ill companion I never knew I needed. Thank you to Skyblock for watching me grow into the person I am today. (Sorry, this is going to be extremely formal) First and foremost, I am incredibly proud of you for coming to the decision of resigning from your position. This was not an easy step, and I know it took you a while to come to a conclusion, however, making this step is a huge accomplishment for you, and allows you to now focus on your future. Thank you so much for your incredible service, Agent. You have been an incredible staff member for over 6 years, and your service was extraordinary. It's quite remarkable to believe that you started moderating at the age of 10, and moved your way up from there. You have dedicated your time as a trial mod, full mod, super mod, and discord admin. It is not easy leaving a place that you can consider a second home, and after so much time spent, it hurts, however, I am so happy for you. I have known you for over two years (I think), and I thought I'd known you for 4 years, but that would mean you'd be 13-14, and I'd be 12-13, which I don't think is the case. For the years I've known you, I've gotten to know you as a lovely, kind, friendly, inspiring, and wonderful person. While it sometimes does not appear that you are very kind to me in public with your "ban threats" (it's obviously a joke), you have been such a wonderful and lovely person. I remember when I suddenly resigned, you were one of the first people to send me a DM on Discord and the only person to contact me through Forums to ask if I was okay. This made me tear up on the spot, and I was so happy to have known you. You were there for me in tough times, and I genuinely appreciate that from the bottom of my heart. Afterwards, we connected even more, and I was quite surprised when I heard your voice for the first time because I didn't know you'd even talk in VCs to me, and I'm super glad that you did because I enjoy the many VCs we've had. Ranging from reading books to reading personal memoirs, to talking about general things, and sharing our common interests. These VCs, while just being casual, have made a lot of memories for me, and they are something I know we will continue to have, and something I will always love to join you with. Speaking of sharing common interests, we have a LOT of commonalities: – Hating Shelly (my gym teacher) – Being a #girlboss – Using gen Z vocab – AP students (even tho you're done with AP) – Slayful people and much, much more... There have been a lot of things that have continued and influenced our friendship—from you encouraging me to join TacoShack, and QSO (which I'm so very grateful for), to my promotion, which led to you being my mentor for a bit, which was a very fun experience, to me asking you to fix my essays because Jade (my gr 10 AP English teacher) was a very rude [redacted]. You've also influenced my love for Taylor Swift and Harry Styles. Officially an Evermore mentally, and physically a 1989 (but rep & lover >). To summarize this, thank you so much for your service, Agent (oxford comma goals). I am so very grateful to have gotten to know you, and I hope that we can continue this friendship, as it's something very meaningful even though we are teens on Discord. I will forever enjoy our shopping sprees, listening to you talk about things, asking you to follow me on Forums, and being an amazing person. You have left a mark on Skyblock and the staff team that will remain forever. You have been a constant during my time on the server and it saddens me to see you go, but I know that you're going to achieve great things with a new freedom, and continue growing into the amazing person you've become. You were one of my first welcomes to the staff team, and I'll always remember that and the many lessons you taught me. It's been a pleasure to share the team with you, and to grow up alongside you! I think we've grew a lot in recent years! Onwards and upwards friend!

Man, I was a surprise to me as I've known you for a long time. I remember the days when I would attempt to make creative messages on your profile about your status but since then it was a slow and steady progress to where I got to know you more. I remember when you took that screenshot of everyone dming you about me and I used that as my signature (still there haha). I've got to learn from you and you were there to teach me my mistakes which helped me become a better person now and where im at in my career. Can't say much else other than hoping I can get a free drink from you Good luck to your career goals. Don't let skyblock drag you behind. Your life and career goals are always first. Skyblock can stay forever but you only live once (#yolo???). If you need help with career advice and preparation hmu, I can help you since I pretty much went through the same stage as u (but with different areas obv) and am in a place to where I am closer to a full time job.
