I have attached a link below to a google form that we hope some of you may use. Form: Hostile Spawners Economy Our hope for this form is to collate your ideas for the prices of what you think these spawners should be worth on /shop. We want you guys to be as involved as you wish and for you all to feel apart of this project with us. This is an opportunity for you all to be heard, to add your contribution to the server. You guys will be the 'main' users for these spawners so we want to do what we can to ensure you are involved! There is no requirement to contribute to this price idea collation, it is entirely optional. please note: if you do contribute ideas, they are completely anonymous. Things to consider when thinking of prices: 1. The value that the Mob Drops sell for on /shop and /warp shop in the current market 2. The value of things that can be crafted from the Mob Loot (bow's etc) 3. The value of these spawners has to be achievable for all players but still maintain a level of high value 4. They cannot be changed, the spawner type is fixed 5. What benefits you will gain from having these spawners 6. Be reasonable, we want players of all levels to benefit from these, not just those who already have millions in assets. -------- This forums is open to conversation but please keep all comments relevant, fair and respectful. Dang, this is pretty cool to see, as a dedicated Eco player this is gonna add some variety to farms! Might want to evaluate the pricing on those enderpearls Also another thing I would advocate for is not adding in witch spawners, since that will ruin the redstone market as witches drop redstone, and you also cant have witches on /skyblock. Just food for thought.
Don't add pigmen spawners, economy doesn't need to be Skyblock 2.0 with worthless gold, it's already cheap enough as is from the shop I mean, you also don't wanna add them unless you want an even more overinflated economy
I agree! Adding these would also take out a large portion of 1.16+ nether excitement (mining gold in nether dimension) if the server ever updates.
As much as a change like this is exciting, I can also see it putting a huge nail in the coffin for the server market as a whole. It's no secret the server's currency, the SkyBuck, is rapidly inflating, and that I among others would love to see hostile spawners added. But if they end up just making more things worthless, and making the rich richer far faster than before, it would be a sad sight to see.
Has a bug report been created? I’m aware of the issue but cannot do much surrounding it. A spawner update shouldn’t worry you, not surrounding water anyways
I mean if you were to add witch and pigman spawners then you should make the drops much rarer, especially gold and Redstone. But I love this idea ahhhhh
I believe some good points have been made in regards to Witch and Pigman spawners, but I do believe the rest of the spawner options will positively impact the server. It "should" reduce lag since you won't need flushing water systems for mob farms anymore. Spawner limits still exist so unless someone is making a 2x2 island chain with a ton of spawners in the middle, you would just be swapping out the spawners you do have while still remaining at the same spawner cap you once had. Of course the economy is blown out cause everyone is making pumpkin farms and blasting that into oblivion, but if implemented correctly, this may give people other options to grind to increase their balance. I think sometimes the excitement of grinding is thwarted once you realize it's pigs, then pumpkins, then afking. Having a lot more options of grinders to build or allowing people to be creative in the process of making money, to me, is seen as a huge plus. Eco doesn't have a warp hostile or mob like skyblock so it should give easy access to mob drops and might empower community builds so players could have somewhere to grind mob drops. I appreciate this coming to eco cause it shows that eco players aren't forgotten when it comes to development of the servers. Thanks to everyone who helped put this into place. I also want to thank the mod team for coming to the community and asking what the community wants and how we believe this will effect the server we all play on. It gives us a voice which is an amazing thing.
I agree, if anything this should reduce lag. What's laggy is the constant water updates in flush farms. Stagnant water creates no lag.
Exactly. When going from skyblock to economy, the lag can be noticeable. Its a struggle to balance economy breaking additions with lag reducing initiatives. As much as some may hate crop hoppers, the lag would be greater had they not been introduced. I just appreciate trying to make advancements in order to improve the player experience on the server cause ultimately, if this suffers, people will stop playing.
