A chat meant for only advertising and you can toggle it on or off, and people can only advertise islands on there, it would clear up chat a lot more.
No support, we have /ads for that. Tho I do think chat ads should have a minimum time of 5min before they repeat.
It would be much better if chat wasn't filled with advertisements. It is probably the most infuriating part of Skyblock chat is the bombardment of ads. I wish there was a better way to handle this without having to enforce rules or physically move their chats. Unfortunately I don't think an ads only chat would work for the server. However I would like to urge people to increase the time between repeating ads to something reasonable like 5-10 minutes in peak chat hours and 10 min+ at off hours. However its just a friendly suggestion.
asking people to willingly (essentially) cut down their visits and therefore their profits wont work in the short or long term. Though i dont have a solution, something has to be done at some point in time id assume (unless staff is okay with the majority of active players complaining about how flooded chat can become) As it stands i believe this is a great start to thinking of solutions
the more i think about it, having a seperate chat accessed through a command that only reveals ads (with a possible set time limit inbetween) would be a decent fix (hopefully something better would happen later). It allows the normal chat to be filled with conversations, and the second chat with ads. Sure /ads is a replacement, but clearly its not a very good one cause chat is still filled with adverts. I am sure there is a better solution somewhere out there, i just dont know of it
Lets be honest tho, how many minecraft players would bother typing a command to advertise in a chat that people will rarely open when there is a chat that almost everyone who is online will see which will most likely make them want to buy an item that they wouldn't have even though about if someone didn't mention. (Basically people will want to buy an item that was mentioned and cleverly advertised for them with the bright letters catching their eyes and making them think to themselves, "Hey, I needed a ______, I can win at X person's casino" Tl;dr Ads make chat go Brrr.
By making a separate chat, id hope that ads (all together or more than one line ig) are banned from the casual chat. Ads making chat go brrr in a chat MADE for ads sounds a lot better than ads every other line in a conversation
tbh, it’ll make people who use auto type or whatever makes players automatically type and send a certain message within a certain time limit, more annoyed and they’ll just use the main chat anyway unless there’s a rule about it. which i’m sure there won’t ever be a rule about it.

After talking with some people in game, I've started spacing my ads a bit more because I am definitely part of the problem atm. Idk what the best required time would be but I'd support having an official rule stating that ads can only be automated each 5-10 minutes.
