Resolved Versions

Hi so I'm not sure what the story is with versions of Skyblock, so I thought it wouldn't hurt to ask? What versions are people welcome to use, and what version is the best to use?

 

1.12.2 is best to use, but the server runs on all recent versions

 

How does that work then, considering am update like 1.17 is gonna have WAY more stuff than 1.12?

 

That's your Minecraft client you are updating. The server still decides based on its own version (1.12.2 here) which blocks you can craft. Even if you update your client locally on your PC, the server stays on 1.12.2. Usually the server and the client needs to be running the same version for this to work, but here they allow it manually when a new version comes out so that you can still play on the server with a Minecraft client running the lastest versions.

 

Right so it just won't let me use stuff exclusive to newer updates and it lets me use all the 1.12 stuff as if I'm on that version even if I'm not? That does make sense tbh so thank u!
