With the low supply of Quartz on the market due to there being fewer quartz miners, I suggest that Quartz Blocks and other recipes that involve Quartz can be crafted back to Raw Quartz. The following blocks have the equivalent Raw Quartz. 1 Quartz Block = 4 Raw Quartz 1 Quartz Pillar = 4 Raw Quartz 1 Quartz Stair = 6 Raw Quartz 1 Quarts Slab = 2 Raw Quartz This would be an easy implementation as there are similar blocks that can be reverted back to their original form, e.g Hoppers can be crafted back to Iron. I know this was formulated due to the hopper limit introduction but it is a really nice feature.
I don't think letting players with skytitan rank put 0-48x quartz into circulation daily is a viable way to deal with inflation.
Support, at the point quartz prices are dropping it’ll be worth to get it from /warp trade instead. It wouldn’t hurt the economy in my eyes as this just reverts the items to their original forms.
I think 1 quartz stair to 6 raw quartz would be insanely OP considering it takes 6 quartz to make 4 stairs.
It takes 6 Quartz blocks to make 4 stairs. 6 Blocks = 24 Raw Quartz. 6 Blocks = 4 Stairs therefore Therefore 4 stairs = 24 Raw Quartz 1 stair = 6 Raw Quartz
I love this idea and that you can start to sell quartz blocks to people who want normal quartz. Support and amazing suggestion!
You can trade 1x diamond for 4x quartz block at a villager in hub. (/warp villagers) And that will potentially result in sudden increase in quartz supply (more than from the nether which is unbalanced) since one diamond is basically 2 days for skygod and 1/3 day for skytitan as a "passive gain" Quartz is a "rare drop" from quartz ore and by that it should exclusively be mined from the nether not AFK'd with rank kit as they're good enough (literally free resource) and honestly don't deserve to be buffed. It'd be better to just let quartz miners do their job supplying market and earn what they deserved instead of putting more quartz into circulation from doing nothing and devalue their efforts.
I do like this point but I can imagine that no one has and will use diamonds to get quartz blocks from warp trade. The suggested idea is more focused on helping players who accidentally craft blocks.
definitely support! ( : i have tons of scrap quartz stairs for some reason and would like to sell them in quartz form.
I support this implementation for one specific reason and that is crafting the wrong quartz block. When making my island Groko not only did I craft way too many of the chiseled quarts block prolonging the development of my project but I’ve also crafted too many stairs now this is because of my negligence to plan out and figure out exact how many of a certain block is needed but I don’t think it would hurt too much to add a feature into the game where you can revert the recipe to fix simple mistakes like the ones I listed above.
I'm just wondering how much attention this will receive, how can we increase the likelihood of this being a thing. We already have custom recipes to undye glass and recipes to convert hoppers back to iron. I dont see why quartz blocks shouldn't be able to be reverted to their original forms.
Absolute support! I cannot tell you how many times I make too many quartz blocks and want to use them for something else when I am done with the project.
No support I am not a fan of QoL updates that change server mechanics yet have no benefit to the server at all
While it sounds good I don't really think it's very necessary. Why stop at quartz? or iron? If they can add these then might as well add recipes for any other item to be crafted back to its original material. If it were to be added, I'd prefer the return rate of the raw material to be 50% of the original cost of making it. Doesn't seem that fair to be able to get the full value back
