My question is do we get bucket back after crafting is done?

If yes then the cost is too cheap

If no... 3 iron ingots is still cheap
    (kind of)

I think a bottle of strength potion (unaltered) instead of water bucket would greatly increase its cost and make the recipe more reasonable

It'd also extend the function of water bottles from fishing a bit
The concrete hardening recipe is actually been suggested in this thread in 2018 though I still appreciate you for bringing this suggestion out :)

I could see how this could be useful in the sense that it could stop possible msg from water flowing. It would also be nice as a simple way of making concrete from concrete powder. As for what would happen to the bucket maybe it could be where when you make cake you get the empty bucket back with the item it self. I like the idea thx boss!

If the recipe involves the bucket of water, how much quicker is it really going to be? Placing 9 items in the crafting table, one a bucket that you have to first fill with water, can't be much quicker than just placing 8 blocks in water and mining it. It doesn't take long to mine it with a good pick.
No point putting stacks of 64 in the crafting table because the buckets don't stack.

Actually it would stack on economy, if you buy multiple lava or water buckets on economy from /shop they stack in your inventory when purchased

One way to go about this is to change the amount of powder blocks you need in one go. Currently the suggestion was 8 individual powder blocks around a bucket, but may as well be 8 stacks of 8 powder blocks. You could also add both of those recipes plus all the numbers in between and let the plugin prioritise the highest number of concrete it can make with the ones you placed while still only using one bucket.

Also I changed my mind about this suggestion, I would like to see it on the server

I think because there is already a custom recipe to convert stained terracotta / glass back to normal that you should also be able to do so with concrete. I have also thought that this would be especially helpful, taking into account that the concrete available for purchase on /shop is white and you can't stain it.

I'm not really bothered if it comes into play or not, but potentially the solution to the issue you all seem to have with buckets can be resolved by using a block of ice?

Or even potentially a water bottle. However I think this is too cheap and too easy

Drogo knows you joke as that would workout pretty expensive.

Idk, an extra $750 per 8 blocks sounds like a great deal to me
