Global Toggleable Rare-Epic-Legendary crate chat notification.

For newer players whenever they buy legendary keys and open them, they get tons of "sharks" instantly messaging them "get anything good?" and proceeding to try to trade them for the items they got (usually the trade deal is very unfavorable for the keys opener, especially if they don't know the value of things).

Well anyways, I suggest removing the crates opening message, or allowing it to be toggled for the keys opener. Preferably defaulted to off so newer players buying keys don't get scammed so much.

 

Something to consider here. I do message players asking if they got anything good but its more out of interest and to celebrate their win if they get something good

 

I don't see it as a real issue however I get your point, I guess we rely on players being honest and not scamming unfavourable deals, if you ever see me ingame and are unsure if someone is offering a fair deal just message and I should be able to help you know if the price you're being offered is reasonable. I see no real negatives to it being toggle-able so for that I am giving a support I like the idea atleast

 

This is a nice idea and I like your thought process. By having it toggle-able means players can choose whether they want to show off their keys!

I don't think it's a massive issue though as you can just ignore the trade requests or even toggle your messages with /msgtoggle if you want to. Sometimes players do offer genuine prices if they are looking for that particular item. I see both sides to it but I love the idea of choice.

 

The reason for making this post was just yesterday, someone called ville(something) upgraded from greenie to skygod and bought 12 legendary keys. They popped 8 of them in a row, gathering tons of attention. After that, lots of people started visiting ville's island and messaging her. Tbf, I tried to get a deal off too. I know for fact that she sold 14 emeralds and a stack of iron for basically peanuts. They were clearly overwhelmed and expressed that to me in messages too. I feel kind of bad for them.

This is an unethical way that some people make grass off of newer players. Especially so with head drop parties too.

Idk if there's a better solution to the problem.

 

As someone who has done this very thing and asked people what they get all the time, support lol.

If it's toggle-able then yes definitely would much rather it be an option that can be turned off or on and I've definitely seen a few people get bad offers for something they just got from a crate
