Closed remove anti fly hacks they ruin gameplay.

remove the anti fly hacks the server implemented as it doesn't even prevent all players without fly to hack as seen with thatsubwooferkids ban for fly hacking. It just makes using fly hacks with /fly not possible to use (TPs u back when u try to fly with them). Also you cant even jump over a void hole without being slammed down into it if you dont have /fly on as seen with my alt bs antifly slamming me down - Album on Imgur I have also died this way so you cant expect new players to enjoy staying on the server and it just pisses off veterans. No wonder some hacker keeps crashing the server at this point.

 

Interesting, I have some trouble using my elytra lately, since it keeps suddenly slow down: it acts like I hit a wall when I’m in the middle of the sky. I’m not sure if this is related to the anti-cheat or lag though.

 

It's the new anti-cheat they've established. Many people have struggle with using elytras now and they are practically useless

i view it as a good thing that it’s been reintroduced - this was a thing in classic and always has been, even now NoCheatPlus is still enabled on classic. However, NoCheatPlus is less buggy, less strict and less broken than this current antifly is, but it doesn’t affect gameplay. Which is what we need.

 

i 50/50 agree with this, they should make a sort of code where if you have an elytra then you're immune but if not then you can't fly but the fly system isn't working well seeing how i saw someone fly hack.. but honestly neutral

 

100% support, i have /fly but i would like the best experience for newer players as always and fly hacking players aren't even that bad since you can always report them if you see em
no point worsening the experience for people without /fly just to solve a problem that never was

 

I'd just like to be able to use my elytra again. Even with rockets the velocity is constantly being nullified making elytra impossible to use.

Given some dodgy players use fly hacks to access locked islands, Drogo must say no support to this.

The reporting of one individual hacker who did this resulted in nothing. As nothing was done to discourage said hacker, anti flight hack is the only protection we have against these people.

It's similar to players losing access to /back at eco's /warp shop due to players hacking there. Privileges/perks taken from all, to counter the cheating of the few.

Interestingly enough, one individual was reported for both these things recently.

 

The goal of the anti cheat that has been added a few days ago is (currently) to block fly speed hacking not fly hacking in general. It has been tested on a different server environment and the TPS inconsistency on the live servers caused it to drag back people without any hacks active (+no elytra support). For now the checks have been disabled until this has been sorted out. It never slammed anyone down though.
