Hi, I think that with the introduction of Croppers a while ago now, the insanely superior method of getting cash is now ONLY pumpkin farms. Most people are aware that Pig Spawners have dropped a significant amount in price and value (about 25%) and sand is going down a lot too (People bought for as much as even $850, now it's hard to find someone buying for more than $650)
I think a solution would be to change some of the sell prices at /warp shop:
Pumpkin: Sell price decreased by about 5-15%
Cactus: Sell price increased like, a lot. $16 is pretty pathetic compared to $30 for pork/beef and $56 for pumpkins. I think even a 50-100% increase in sell price would be reasonable.
Pork, Beef, Mutton: Sell price increased around 10-20%.
I understand that people have invested a LOT in pumpkin farms. Personally, I have spent nearly $3 million. So I wouldn't suggest a big reduction to pumpkin sell price, but instead a big increase to meats/Cactus.
Let me know what you think!

Well, I have a very divided opinion on the whole subject.

Pumpkin: It's already harder to make money now that the /back command has been removed (thanks to those who used scripts). Lowering the price even more makes it even less economical. You could talk about increasing the /sell all price. But as the prices are now they are ok in my opinion.

Cactus: Yes, so I don't understand why the price is so low. The price should also be increased to 30$ - 45$. Why it was ever so low remains a mystery to me. The price of sand was always about the same as the price of grass. Therefore, such a price difference makes no sense.

Meat: I am also of the opinion that a slight adjustment should be made. In about 5-10%. As with the pumpkin, you could increase the /sell all price here, since the spawners are also relative in the procurement. And they also work more limited, because you may be a maximum of 16 blocks away.

My opinion remains here on neutral, since here very many suggestions are made.

i have a lot of diffrent opinions on this subject.

its easy to say lower pumpkin prices and raise cactus prices, but then a lot of ppl who invested tons in pumpkin farms wouldnt be happy.
and if they only increase the cactus price a lot of extra money would enter the economy
and i think that too muchmoney couls kind of break the economy

    my idea is the following:
change pumpkin prices to between 48-53 a stack so a small decrease
increase cactus prices to around 25 a stack
and increase the price of dirt in /shop to between 850 and 1000 ( i think if we increase dirt price the price of spawners will also increase)

this is just a suggestion i dont know if these prices are well balanced i just think that price changes like this could have a good impact cuz then ppl will be able to keep their farms without their profits getting cut in half and ppl wont only mnake pumpkin farms anymore cuz dirt got more expensive and it gives a little bit less

Support, maybe even boost mutton a *bit* more than everything else since sheep spawners are more expensive?

Agreed, maybe an extra 25%. However , Cow/Sheep spawners have by-products that can also be sold. Wool can go for quite a bit per stack, so not toooooo much but agreed since they are worth around 1,000,000 :)

I agree with most of this post and believe it deserves more discussion.
I disagree with decreasing pumpkins for now, as I don't think it is a right path in an economy to lower the prices, inflation is natural, efficiency increasing is natural. That applies to the real world too,

I agree however that Cacti 100% need to be boosted in price, the current price is stupidly low and makes little sense, I believe a 50-100% increase would be suitable

I agree meat should be increased too, I agree with around a 20% increase as to balance the farms that are utilized by grass, sand and spawners back to their more natural levels prior to croppers massively changing the balance.

I think non-pumpkin crops should have a slight increase, that way everyone would be pleased. Maybe an increase of even 15-20% like others have suggested.

yeah i agree that we shouldn't lower pumpkins since LOTS of cash has been put into farms however we should increased others alot since there really is no competition

i support increasing cactus, but lowering pumpkin is outrageous
as selling dirt is illegal, many people who spent tons on dirt would be in the dust (myself included)

No it isn't, he only proposed a 5-15% decrease, if you think you are going to be 'left in the dust' by this you are simply wrong. You don't need to jump on the profitable bandwagon every single meta change, and if you are running your farms you'll still be making profit, you are acting like you will be making a loss and will have to stop afking your pumpkin farm. Pumpkin is already the op meta by quite a bit, making it less op is fine.

Drogo cannot support the lowering of pumpkin prices. Many like Drogo have invested too much money and time in pumpkin farms already.
Drogo is sure that many people quickly did the 2 minutes of maths required when croppers came out and worked out how much profit there was to make and that this was really the only way to go.
I’m sure staff had the forethought to do this as well before introducing croppers and still deemed them a good idea.
Drogo did voice his dislike of the croppers from day one and noted his feelings on the drop in value of spawners and the spawner kits but it stayed as it was. Well, not quite, they lowered the sell all price of cooked meats and the ONLY sell price of wool which further devalued spawners and drove people further towards pumpkin farming.
Drogo has accepted the loss on his spawners and is going with the general way of things and invested many millions and many hours in destroying the economy of Pumpkinblock.

I can support the bumping/matching of item prices at warp shop, but lowering item prices would be a big tear drop from a good portion of the users stonks department. Cactus for sure should/could be bumped up dramatically, sand being 1200 a block and getting a stack that is worth 16 bucks hurts, and maybe some signs to sell wood at warp shop too for a price? maybe 125 per stack? its been a while since I've farmed up a lot of wood so perhaps someone who can workout the time/output value can input for some adjusting? it would be nice for early game users to have a consistent viable method for money that didn't rely on grass so intensely, but isn't so good that it could replace investing into grass/spawners once they reach a mid/late game point

Drogo would love to see wood at the shop. The shop needs a fair bit of work on it and given all the empty stalls, Drogo believed this was once intended. Given that pumpkins are totally AFK farmable, the price of wood would have to be quite significantly higher to warrant farming it.

further development of shop would be quite nice, my suggestion for wood in warp shop though is purely to give starting players another option for creating income that doesn't require huge investments, more a QOL for those users then a full game money making method that could be aimed at mid/late game players, and seeing as the investment is low, its literally only an axe and some dirt, i think the price being 4500 per inv sounds fair but im sure some actual testing would be nice to find a balance for starter users to benefit from

the price of wood, or anything for that matter would have to compete with profit shops which are an easy fast way for any player to make money with zero investment.

it doesn't need to be a better option, it just needs to be AN option to add to the list and profit shops run out at some point, what do you do after those? even with profit shops being considered, assuming its a 50% spilt, with pumpkin you still only net 1kish per run, making wood trips 4.5x more profitable per trip, and again considering these are literally both free money, minus user time, its a good starting ground to set foot off with it can always be adjusted later on if required to balance it, keep in mind, my goal in suggesting this is purely to help out new/early players

Surely Drogo can see that illegal automatic wood farming may be a problem?

Has Drogo not read the rules? All automation of breaking blocks is illegal.

No idea where you heard that. But at any rate, you are taking this thread off topic which certainly is against the rules.
