the present was with lore and not looks of the head i think it should be inverted back so that no one is having a high place cuz they bought a bunch at regular price of a chick head. and the someone got scammed cuz it was kept and is worth more to be a steve head

 

I can understand that but the same would apply to the opposite situation, where people have bought the bugged head for much higher prices and have now lost all value because it has been reverted back to the original

This is a bug. It should be fixed rather than left because of its speciality. Yes I am aware there were
instances that occurred as such and they were left. Why not fix it when we can then? If we can fix something now, let us fix it. There is no need for it as it is something that should’ve never been added. So if we can patch it, let us patch it.

Anyways, yes they can all theoretically be fixed, but that would be a bad idea. The value of these now bugged items is immensely high due to the rarity that came from it and if fixed, players would lose millions of dollars worth of value on money or grass and for collectors it would be an immense disappointment. From the stand point of a collector it's more interesting to have a story that goes along with the heads that were accidental and peaks more interest for players who want to collect. As I said earlier, since the issue wasn't for every single head and the original design still exists, it's only a small amount of them that even exist in the first place just making it an addition rather than a replacement

 

still doesn't explain why the cegg 2019 was never brought back in for retexture while it was facing the wrong way though?
if staff can patch the Steve head why cant staff patch all the other things that was kept the way they were such as the presents red/green lore or the cegg texture being off, or the ad crate key being left in the game when it is absolutely pointless?
It is a bug yes, but what's the difference between replacing that when there are so many other things that should have been "fixed" still laying in the game? not trying to cause no smoke btw I'm just curious as to why this Steve head is different to past errors / choices

*Edit* For those who are unaware of the cegg mis-texture, the bunny is facing the right direction
in your inventory while the cegg is not. (this means when you wear the cegg, its face is on your right ear side of your skin instead of the face side, this should have been fixed but it wasn't and I believe that makes the cegg special in its own right for historical reasons, the Steve chicky would be the exact same style of history, just more buggy rather than slip up.)

Secondly, I am not sure why they were never patched. The only staff who can take care of bugs like these are developers and admins (including Crew). And, ad crate keys are now spread all over the server on Skyblock and Economy so it’d be really hard to recover them all.

Thirdly, even if we couldn’t fix the mistakes in the past, we can fix the ones in the present. If we never fixed some issues before, why not let us fix them when we are trying to?

Fourthly, if we fix the past bugs now, there’s going to be a lot of discussion and disputes, more than at the moment. It’d be unfair to fix things now that we couldn’t fix before. But, we’re probably going to fix what happened.

As Cal said, yes you do lose money as the Steve head owners will lose money but it will turn back into a chicky. Value is lost but you still get a head back. It’s not entirely a fair deal but we’re fixing a bug that was created. I don’t see an issue. I’m not trying to be rude or anything but I don’t see a proper reason of keeping it.

As I said earlier, I agree it would need to be fixed, but there is a very limited amount of them in the first place meaning the majority will still be the regular chicky heads while collectors can have that head along side this as an extra. As there have been numerous other bug implements that have been added, they each have their own story and each represent their own time in the server. To me it's just an extra little "easter egg" if you will, that just adds a little fun to the hunt heads

 

Maybe they can replace the steve heads with a chicky head with different lore

 

This would pretty much make it like the Red/green presents head, and I'm absolutely all for this if the Steve head itself isn't up for debate in the staff teams choices, however if we are able to keep the heads in their Steve forms it would be nice too
