Welcome to my staff application

My name is SkyGuyGamer. Some may know me as SkyS or Sky_guy_gamer during the classic days. I mainly play on survival since classic isn’t as popular anymore. I try to find ways to join the economy community but I just cant find an interest in it. I'm hoping that if I get accepted I will learn more about it and get to know the people and join the community. I love this server and it is and will always be apart of me and my childhood. I just want a way to show how I care for the people of this server and I want to give back as this server has given a ton back to me! I found out by the server when I first got Minecraft on my first laptop and was typing random server ip’s in the Minecraft multiplayer menu to see what would pop up and I had recently heard of a SkyBlock survival map. So I punched in skyblock.net and now I'm part of an amazing community!

What time zone are you in?

I live in east USA so my time zone is EST.

Besides from English I know some Spanish
and currently have Spanish classes.

I got many means. I got OBS, xbox game capture,
I got my phone and can easily screenshot.


How long can you be active on our platforms everyday?

Rough Schedule:

Monday: Around 3-4 hours
Tuesday: Around 3-4 hours
Wednesday: Around 6 hours
Thursday: Around 3-4 hours
Friday: Around 4-5 hours
Saturday: Around 6-7 hours
Sunday: Around 6 hours

For Discord and forums I can pretty much
be on the entire day except for school!

When did you first join Skyblock?

Back around 2015-2016. The game says since 2018
But I have been playing since around that time.



Have you ever been banned on any platform?

I do not recall being banned on any platforms
But I have been warned and muted before.

Do you have any past moderation experience?


Yes I own and help out with multiple minecraft servers and discord servers.
So I know what people should and should not do.


Why do you think you should become a staff member?


I think that I should become a staff member so that I can help people and give back to the mods and players of this server that have given soo much to me these past years. I love skyblock it is literally the best server ever. I feel as if there are too many people who dont come to staff when something happens and I wanna help earn the trust of those people for the staff team and other members of the community. I love the community and I want to contribute and give as much back to the community.

Some more info:

Activity: I can be on most of the day because I dont have many things going on in my life and I can get on pretty much whenever someone needs help.

Patience: I can be patient and wait for things to happen.

Dedication: I love this server and will do my very best to help out on it whenever someone needs it.

Friendly: I try my best to be as nice as possible and don't get very mad at little things.

Understanding: I understand that some things happen and you cant control it. Sometimes it is your fault and other times it is not.

Unbiased: I am very unbiased and will not choose my friends over other people when there is a situation.

Conclusion

I want to be a bigger part of the community and I want to give back to the community and staff members that have helped me and have made me feel like I belong here all these years. Yes I have taken breaks through out the years but there are reasons I will not say here but I have always and will always come back to this amazing community and server. In-game your on the side of being active, and not being active. For forums, u seem quite active. U seem very nice and caring! make sure you bring the activity up in-game...but u have my support!

 

Hi there, please enable 2-Factor Authentication on Forums in order to keep your application open. At the time, it seems to be disabled as you've not yet received the "Secured" trophy which is given when two-factor is enabled. This is for your account's safety and is a requirement! speaking of that when i hit new key it shiws something with google and i dont know what to type...

 

This is a relatively short application and you might want to add more under why you should become staff.
as for activity i don't see you online much though i do occasionally see u in chat. When you are online I almost never see you help. I was considering between neutral and no support and the thing that had me decide was the Activity time. Under you how long u can be active section the minimum number from that was 36 hours a week. As I do only occasionally see you this seems like a stretch. I will be no suporting but some simple changes could get me to suport or neutral quickly.

1. Add to why you should be staff (tell us about your self)
2. Help more in chat
3 be more active in game
4 make your when are u online more realistic (im not saying yours isn't im just saying the amount iof time i see you on doesn't line up with that section just do some self reflection and see if those times are accurate im not u so idk)

overall you seem mature but as u have only recently started being active in chat recently I will no suport now but ill check back soon

but something you said a while ago in a thread is I guess odd without better words

you said that if someone brings a map art that was made back to the island you are renting out you said “I will get people to not like you....” what do you mean by that?

other then that I’m neutral for now will try to come back and see if I need to update my neutral later

 

Lol I meant it as a joke but if that happens then the map art will get reset and make me lose all progress I meant it like that imma reword that xD

Neutral for now. I don't really see you helping in chat. Sure we live in different time zones, but I'm also often online at EST time. If I see more help from you in chat as well as Discord, I'll reconsider.

That is true but Im sure they have good reasons and I will not leave if I become part of staff.

 

So you could potentially leave if you don't? If you're just sticking around for a while to maybe get staff, that isn't a very good mindset to have while applying

 

Neutral at the moment,

You are a good person in the interactions we had. At the moment, I think you should work on Economy activity as well as having more interactions on Discord! I do feel as you would be a good Helper but I would like to see a bit more helping throughout our platforms as we work everywhere Skyblock associated (skyblock, economy, occasionally Classic, forums and discord). Sorry thats what you thought that I meant, I did not mean it in the way that I would leave if I dont get staff. I meant it as that you can count on me to not leave when I get staff and if I do then theres an actual reason for it just like any staff that has had to step down before.
