Resolved Island Ownership

So my friends and I started an island together and I by far play the most, but I am not the leader of the island. Is there anyway for me to become the owner of the island?

 

The island owner can use /changeleader to move the ownership of the island to you.

 

Without the owners approval the island is not yours. They have full ability to kick you out and change who owns it. Im not sure how they would react if you asked to be the leader. Do /coop to see who it is.
