Withdrawn Slybudda's Helper application.

Introduction:
Hello! this will be my application to become a Helper for the community.
My online persona is slybudda, most of you all call me sly for simplicity (I also think sly is nicer)
I have been playing skyblock on and off for the past 9 years, mostly playing with friends as their choice for activity was skyblock most of the time, usually I took my own time off to do other things that were more important in the events leading up to my arrival to economy in august 2019, where I have attained a 100% attendance as a community member.

I mostly spend my time in the community collecting rare items, talking to the people that I'm on good terms with, recreating maps from the call of duty zombies franchise and I try my best to help out in whatever way that I can, that being said lets get into the application

What time zone are you in? GMT

Can you speak any additional languages? I don't have any experience in learning another language other than my Spanish lessons from 4 years back, however I'm quite good at managing language translation using tool assistance (namely translate)

Do you have the necessary means of capturing evidence? I have OBS for screen recording and the ability to take screenshots with f2 and windows screenshotting (Win key + PrtSc)

How long can you be active on our platforms everyday?
Monday: 7am-11pm (college timetabled)
Tuesday: 7am-11pm (college timetabled)
Wednesday: 7am-2am (college timetabled)
Thursday: 10am-2am (free for the day, providing life breaks.)
Friday: 10am-2am (free for the day, providing life breaks.)
Saturday: 10am-2am (free for the day, providing life breaks)
Sunday: 4pm-11am (this will be my college timetable refresher.)

When did you first join skyblock?
I first arrived at the classic server of skyblock back in 2012, I was only 10 years old at the time of my arrival.
after about a week of playing the game I quit the server to proceed with growing up, doing other things in other places and such, eventually leading to an on/off playtime on skyblocks updated server in 2014 onward.

When I turned 17 I joined the new /skyblock server for the first time, played around for a bit then left, and after some time had passed I joined the /economy server for the very first time, falling in love with the community and gameplay in august 2019, where I have been on a steady pace ever since

Have you ever been banned on any platform? I have not been banned on any platform, nor do I ever intend for that title to change. (I was muted once by console for wording I didn't even mean to say, I have since improved the way I talk and have learned how to be careful when posting comments anywhere.)

Do you have any past moderation experience? I have never gotten a staff rank on a minecraft server before, however I moderate my own discord server daily.
Its a small discord server that I do my best to keep balanced and healthy with rules I have enforced clearly and lawfully.

Why do you think you should become a staff member?
I personally feel like I should become a staff member for the community because of many various character traits and wishes to assist where and when I can.
here are a few words I would use to describe myself, with reasons why I give myself this title.

When I set myself a goal or objective in the community I am set on ensuring this goal is met, this applies to ALL of the objectives that I set for myself, If somebody asks for my help I am more than prepared for that help to be seen through till the very end.

I care for this community with all of the love and respect that I have ever given out to anyone, when somebody I meet is polite to me or is in need of assistance I am very pleased to be able to assist when given the opportunity to do so, this is because I want to see all of the new players thrive in their efforts, I also love being able to be a member of this community myself, being accepted for who I am has given me the chance to give back the respect.

In my time as a member of the community I have made a name for myself, mostly on the /economy server since that is my home town essentially.
The title of owning every rare item in the economy has presented a very trustworthy point of view to the community as I am seen as somebody who doesn't take advantage of someone else's misinformation on the subject, with my cross trading history in the community being a very stable I am seen as a trusted member.

As I have passed the age of 18, I have been through lots of changes while growing up and maturing to adjust to the demands of life, with my time in the community and all of the choices I have made leading up to the writing of this application, I feel like I have matured to a point where I can be seen as a smart and understandable person.

When taking part in activity as a community member, I also try to see what other people have to say/think about the subject before I jump to any final conclusions.
I also make sure that new players feel welcomed and are happy with what they are doing, new players are always something I like to take care of as they tend to grow into the people we like to communicate with.

I have a very open mind when it comes to many different things, Having an open mind allows me to see more than what I desire and I can spot when someone is distressed or lost, always offering my services to help when I have the ability to do so.
With my open mind I can spot things some people have to search for to even notice, and have been able to help many different people with many things because of this.

-=|Loyal|=-
I have spent quite a considerable amount of time in this server in the past year of solid activity, and I have yet to betray anyone that stay close to me AND the staff team as a whole.
With many opportunity's to leave or fight against the server because of other peoples views on the server, I have turned down those offers because I care about the server and the players in it.

Do you think you meet the requirements to become a staff member? With everything taken into account and my own improvements in the past 2 months, Id say that I meet the requirements to join the staff team almost flawlessly!

Sly you have been nothing but helpful whenever I am online, you are kind hearted and very genuine. You do not fail to jump in and help wherever you can, I believe you'd make a lovely addition- you know boundaries and expectations when it comes to enforcing server rules. As well as a good friend, you are a good player- you are always there when people need you. Offering assistance, venting and a good ol conversation.

I agree with what Pancake has stated. However, I feel like you aren't exactly ready - close, but not there yet - for a role like this.

We do not share timezones so you're usually about to leave when I wake up (around 12pm on weekends), but when I log on at my midnight I see you online from time to time. Personally I don't see enough of you (assuming your more active around 4-6pm your time) as it's usually my sleep time, so I can't comment on it.

I'll remain with neutral for now, and will most likely change it (for the better) in the future. Good luck!

 

I do remember the argument we had, and I remember what it was about very clearly.
I would like to take a moment to formally apologize to you for the immaturity that I presented towards you that day, it was incredibly rude of me to try and cast you aside the way I did in that argument, and I respect the fact that you have brought it up to light since I am capable of justifying my development in the area.

This argument happened months ago now, and the time between the writing of this response to you from when we had that fight lots have changed for me as a person, I have matured quite a lot since that day and I have changed drastically for the foreseeable future.

I completely support you bro with this role, your commitment for this server and helping the community for the past couple of months have shown massive dedication and determination. your ability to control and even de-escalate a situation that has aroused in chat or even go to the right people at the moment to be able to sort the situation and be able to keep the chat at a calm place so people can enjoy themselves, especially in economy.
Go For it, I believe you are more than capable.

You contribute in a nice manner to most situations when presented with all sorts, and I feel like the only thing you could improve on is more activity on Skyblock survival.
