Like the title i will soon start making mapart but any ideas how to prevent ppl from copying and selling my art in their shops without my approval?? I have thinking off giving a certification for every sell i do but cant see how much that will help if i whant to prevent it to happen. i also thinking off tagging every art i do with a personal sign so ppl know who made it bad English and grammar i know!
You cannot This usually works and is easy to spot who is the original creator. Bit like a casino (if you want to do it while offline) but it's a 100% chance to get the mapart and some sort of book
I discourage resale of my map arts (apart from customs, all the rights for resale go to the person who ordered it) and i have signs saying "no resale" but thats all you can do to stop people from reselling. I also watermark most images in the title with ~Frez or i write my name on the actual map art I hope this helped slightly! Happy Map-Arting
Most people on this server will NOT resell your map art. You can tag it with your signature in the corner so people know you made it. I wouldn’t worry to much abt people reselling it, only once in a while you’ll catch someone.
What I did was adding a little signature on the picture i was creating a map of and I renamed the map with an anvil stating that I was the creator of it and the new name stays with the map when you create copies.
Drogo has a fool proof system for ensuring his map art isn’t copied. Don’t sell it to anyone. If you do sell it then you can use the bottom right pixels to number each copy so all are different. Then don’t sell through shops and take note of who buys which copy. It won’t stop them copying it but if you find copies being sold, you will know who did it. This of course means you can’t just make endless copies yourself if you want them all to be different.
I don't think that this is a mapart sharing thread, but nice map. Ignore that I'm stupid, misread who made the thread Anyhow, I only really do custom maparts and sell them to people who I know won't resell them. I rarely do maparts as a whole so thats something.
