This suggestion is mostly usefull for people who are trying to get into the top votes of a month! WHY? This is for people who are trying to get into the top votes. I see more than often that people missed a vote by chance, and in this way were very disappointed at the end of the month having 89 votes in stead of 90. This suggestion would make it much more obvious if they missed a vote. WHAT? The idea is /currentvote. This would put the number of votes that person had in chat (only seen by the player who did the command). I understand this was in the game once, but got removed. I dont know the reason for this, but I expect it was lag. I do see server performance is much better lately, so a small command like this wouldnt be much of an issue. HOW? I am not a plugin designer myself, so if I get some things wrong just notify me and I'll change it! My idea for this command, if the old one is outdated or just doesn't work, is very simple. The message of 'thanks for voting ' is personal already. If when the command to send that message is triggered a counter also goes up by 1 for that person. This counter could also be reset by mods at the end of the month (maybe during the same time the nether is reset). Thanks for reading! I hope to hear tons of feedback on this!
It was once a thing as topvotes or something but it was removed as it confused people so I'm going with neutral
/topvotes was removed as it led to issues with players sabotaging others who were near the top of the voting leaderboard
Yeah your suggestion seems pretty reasonable and there's no harm in adding something like that. Would be beneficial to players, and won't cause damages like /topvotes.
i think this is a good suggestion especially since not everyone makes it to the list / leaderboard on the voting websites, it'd be nice to know how many votes i have. full support
Hey! I completely agree with the first point! I don't think people will stop voting for a whole month if they missed a vote though! I don't think the second point is a real issue, as people already miss votes currently, and this command won't make the people miss a vote.
I think this is a great idea! I'm not sure how players were able to sabotage others, knowing people's votes but, with your suggestion of it being seen by only the person who ran the command, that would eliminate even that issue. As you said, players could know if they missed one or two, and could be prepared. Only downside I would see, is if people missed a vote, then they may not vote as much, which would not be good. Great idea, though! I hope this gets implemented!
I’ve certainly been demotivated when learning I had missed a vote, or realising I had forgotten one day. It has led to me stopping voting for the rest of the month, some people vote daily just for the top voters and not the rewards.
