"oops wrong person" but mail

Sometimes, more important things are sent through /mail. That's maybe a fact, I'm not sure. But if for example, the mail randomly gets sent to the wrong person (eg if you forget to put their user, I think it just finds the IGN closest to the first word sent through, this happened to me twice and it was kinda important).
So, my idea is to have something like /mail retract, which would retract/unsend your last mail. Maybe, the server could log your last mail but to make it private it only logs the sender and who it was sent to (idk how this works in technical terms, just a concept). And maybe as an addition, there would be a time delay of maybe 5 or 10 seconds so that a player can retract their message in time in case the player that it would have been sent to is active.

I don't really see a need to add this. I'm pretty sure /mail belongs to the essentials plugin, so I don't think it'd be that easy to change it, and I think there are more important things to focus on at the moment, sorry.

I’m very confused with what your point is here sorry, based on what I understand, I don’t think this is necessary.

 

I understand people often accidentally send a mail to the wrong message but if they realise their mistake, they can just send another one to the right person. I feel like this would be hard to implement and a waste of the developer’s time. I do like the idea, but I can’t see how this would be needed.
