Economy Updates - April 8th, 2020 Added a limit of 2 accounts per IP address. Prices of pork changed back to normal. /sell all cooldown lowered from 45 secs to 30 secs. We had to put this alt limit in place due to a few users using upwards of 10 accounts/bots to run massive farms. As mentioned before, pistons, redstone, droppers, hoppers, etc are all tile entities, each one a user places it has to be ticked in order for it to function. Thousands and thousands from a combination of users and the server having to tick every single one multiple times per second causes a lot of stress or just overloading the server entirely. It is why we had to put spawner and hopper limits per island in place before. Economy lately has been going through a ton of lag and upwards of 10+ crashes a day. Most of what we found has been related specifically to droppers, pistons, redstone, redstone torches, redstone comparators (all tiles) loaded from alts sitting afk with large machines. This change is to make gameplay more fair for everyone, those bypassing the limit with vpns/proxies in order to get more alts online (specifically with large redstone machines) will likely be temporarily banned.
2 account per IP. You can only have 2 accounts on. Also don't try to bypass it by using VPN. Bad idea xD Thanks Crew!!
So I have been sticking to the suggested 5 max and one person with much more means we all have to suffer. How about leaving it at 5 but stopping vpns and scripts. Seems like a desperation move to me.
It is a desperation move for right now while we attempt to fix the on going issues. We will eventually raise this for those with legitimate accounts or those without bots running scripts w/ large redstone machines.
ohhh you're talking about /skyblock. I thought you meant /economy. I dont think he''ll add an account limit there unless either the server starts crashing or theres a drop party which there will be hopefully
The painful bit is I do have 5 legitimate accounts. Some are my kids who play but I also manage them. I have paid for ranks, maxed islands and items for these 5 accounts and this would mean only 2 of us could play at a time - that means upset kiddies. Hope it can be reversed for legitimate family players.
I'm similar, I have 4 accounts which I payed for maxed islands etc for, seems unfair that everyone is being hit with the 2 account limit because 'some' had 10+ accounts but having said that, I do understand why it's done, just hoping it'll go back to 5 again once they've worked out a way to do it and not have it cause massive lag
Can we have a definitive answer on this? if it is going to stay at 2 accounts - I need to tidy up my spare islands and sell them on. I don't want to destroy everything only to find it has changed back to 4 or 5 accounts.
