Make a command that coop owners can do to allow a certain coop member to have full access to the island. Be able to lock it, unlock it, trust people, etc.
Of course I see what you mean, but if two close friends who know each other in real life want to have full ownership both of the same island, this would be it. Pil_ does this change your opinion at all? Pil_
There would still be more cases of people who prefer to have it the way it is now then to have it the way your suggesting, it has to work for the majority like pil said this can lead to grieving and loss of islands no support
I'm personally a fan of this idea. It can go wrong in situations where people blindly give extra access to people they added to their islands. There's also situations where someone could join someone's island and convince them to give them admin rights even if they don't fully understand what that means. What I've seen in other similar situations is players have "island admins". So if I joined an island, the owner could use /coop admin RedstoneTrails. Running /coop would then show "Owner", "Admins", and "Members". At the very least, I would like to see admins be able to lock/unlock island, and be able to invite other people to the coop/give trust. Giving access to /settings could also be nice, but then would unleash the flood gates for grief potential. Allowing people to invite people or /trust people would also lead to potential griefs, but would still be very useful to have around. I'd give /trust access before I invited someone to my coop. I can't see any downside to having lock/unlock perms, though. I've had many situations where I or someone only wants to invite someone to their island, or lock/unlock their island, but they need to wait for the island leader to get online before they're able to do anything. Having an admin or two around would help a ton to let island activities go on as normal without the need for the island owner to do everything themselves.
Yeah, I was thinking of having different coop ranks. There could be ‘island member’ ‘island admin’ and ‘island owner’. This could work with an plugin similar to ones from various factions servers. I think admins should be able to /trust, access settings, /lock//unlock, and possibly /coop invite although I understand some of these could lead to griefing.
Support, basically what Redstone said. Also island admins should have access to guest ban, remove and add too.
Changing to support, to add to this maybe one that could make island chains easily like /is admin add/remove <name>?
I like your idea, but I also like the idea of a coop leader being the only leader and having control over everything. I can already see many players getting annoyed with their coop members who had these permissions and may have possibly caused a lot of trouble for the coop leader.
I see where you are coming. This command will be great for 2 friends or more to completely share a base and not feel like in person have more power than the other. Thank you for your input.
