Super Lotto

My suggestion is for a daily super lottery, that has a higher grass cap for those wanting to risk/win more. It will not affect the current hourly lottery in any way, allowing people to still win that lotto, without the feeling of altered odds (Even though odds are not altered on winnings)

Once daily would allow everyone from all time zones to buy tickets for the super lotto and one draw per day to make one big winner. The amount of grass max capped to the super draw would be at staff discretion but I think a nice sum of 64 Grass or 1 stack is a fair limit.

This would be a lot better than the unlimited tickets idea, but still don’t think it’s worth the developer’s time to implement. Neutral.

 

Hey, I appreciate your judgement, and I understand your view, hopefully this will be decided by the people that actually have to "waste" their time developing rather than us who don't.

 

They can literally just copy the current lottery's code but they just have to change the ticket limit (literally just replace '2' with '64'), change how long you can purchase tickets (again, change the time from 1 hour to 24 hours), and change the name. I am not a developer so I am not sure if they just add code or if it's more complicated than that

I actually love the idea and I'd participate if it became a thing

Also a quick question - I have been reading over these lottery threads and I'm slightly confused. Why are people commenting on the different time zones? Why can't the lottery be open for 24 hours - making it accessible for everyone, and then draw the tickets at a certain time every day?

 

Yes I was also confused by this, that is my suggestion, once in a 24 hour cycle allows everyone in every time zone to enter. and if they just missed today's one, they are the first to enter tomorrows etc so its not a loss.

Yea, an unlimited lottery every time might be too much, but there should definitely be a one time unlimited lottery every day called super lottery for sure.

 

Thank you for your insight, I also like the idea of the join message perhaps a running chat message of who the previous winner was throughout the day until the next one. But again thanks for the info!

Full support- this supports my point on how expanding the cap for the regular lotto would ruin it for greyies- and those of us with more wealth can bet more on the lottery. One of the best suggestions I've saw in a while

 

Yeah, this works slightly better by not affecting the original lotto, leaving it for those who maybe don’t have enough or only want to bet small amounts. But again you can win the big super lotto with just 1 grass too so hopefully some grey/new/poor players might see some big wins too.

 

Support however I think it shouldn’t be every 24 hours as it would be same time and some people wouldn’t be able to participate because of time zones, what about setting the interval to like 14h. This way it would cycle around trough the day and everyone would be able to participate every once in a while!

 

Thank you for the support and to answer your query, everyone will be able to enter at least once a day no matter what time zone no matter when the draw is. Just like people can vote once a day every day no matter what time zone you are in. Time is cyclical whether you are the last person to enter the draw when it happens or the first person to enter the next one. You can enter every day no matter the time zone. You can buy tickets anytime.

Ooo full support! This would make it way more interesting for the ones willing to risk losing a higher amount of grass.

I imagine people putting whole stacks of grass in it and at the end the one who won only had bought one ticket

 

Daily would be nice, It could be on the weekends, I'd support that.

 

Yeah hopefully its a nice mix of winners, not just those buying max each time.
