Guide: Which rank should I buy? / Which rank is "best"?

*this took no more than 15min 25min (with legendary key) to make, I do have a life, no worries
*If I ever do have too much time I'll update this thread and include more explanatory text.

Here is how much grass you get from the various kits. Donor has /kit spawner and /kit iron included.
Important note: Item prices may change. If there are major changes I will update the spreadsheet and leave a comment to notify of the update.

In this diagram, you can clearly see that Skyking is most "worth it".
Skyknight is worst rank with a score of 36.5, while Donor has only has a slightly better score of 36.9

And from this, we can take the difference and see:




But of course, you must not forget that these graphs only show which rank or which upgrade is best in terms of grass per USD.
For example, /kit iron gives you nearly the same amount of grass per year as the entire rank of Skylord, but Skylord also has other perks such as /fly which will greatly help in the acquisition of grass outside the /kit. This is not considered here.

EDIT: To anyone who decides to buy keys over the Skyblock shop instead of a rank upgrade, please consider the following sheet. In terms of value, it is currently better to buy the beacon from the store than the key statistically speaking. Either way, you are better off spending your grass on a rank than on items from the store.

Thank you for taking your time and coming up with this way to display the best rank. This will help me alot as I am currently Skyknight and want to know whats the best place to upgrade to. Because of this post, I'll be spending the minimal amount of money needed and getting the best statistical rank! Thanks

According to shop.skyblock.net the only rank with the ability to /repair or /fix is Skytitan.

 

I think donor100 was the best rank in the old days. One DAILY diamond (+ the other stuff), /fly, /enchant, /fix AND /god? Past Fran was in love with his blue donor.

Yeah, it's essentially elite which is probably the best eco rank for money since it's roughly 50% less than highroller but only has 1-2 less commands+some trails/disguises.

 

I use spreadsheets a lot, this wasn't a big task no worries

 

The elite kit also holds the most value for the dollar as the kit refreshes every 2 days and definitely has more then half of the items the high roller kit has.

 

Beacon value needs to be increased from 128 to 250-280 (due to mob arena being disabled).

 

Mob arena will be back sooner than people may believe, even if people are using it as an excuse to rinse people for a little extra grass.
