items glitched

i was playing around with some eggs and my shulkers, so i put all of my rare items from my echest into a shulker. i then broke the shulker yet was unable to pick it up, and the entity killer happened and all my eggs and my rare items shulker were destroyed. i dont really care about the eggs but i have a video recorded of this all happening, was wondering if i could get it back

 

What I think happened was there was a lot of egg entities which lagged your game and you had eggs on the your a lot they were just invisible and as you can see when you relogged it showed up then when you got rid of it again the same thing happened you basically just did the wrong thing at the wrong time. This is just what I think happened

This isn't helpful in the case that this already happened, but for future reference, you're best option when this happens is to just log out. If you logout and wait until you're sure clearlag has passed, the chunks may unload and the clearlag won't hit the entities. I can't guarantee that will work, but it has saved me in the past.

 

Yeah a lot of people have noticed that and some have exploited it.

Man, you should've stayed logged out! There's no way to retrieve it after it's been deleted by clearlag.

Which is why I'm scared of it
