    defi a support i really hate ppl spamming trade shops and it gets quite annoying!

    Just put Out 7 fully enchanted diapicks with silk touch for 8 grass each and placed an add, 1 guy came and looted it in 2 secounds all of them, when another player came right after, i could not offer him the item i placed a add for 10 secounds earlier.

    Yeah Its leggit, but this is why Timed shops is needed

    Full support. I often run into the situation where I have way too much cobblestone and food that I want to giveaway. Unfortunately, I make a trade-shop and the first person to visit me spams the trade shop, leaving nothing left for the other people that arrive at my island, hoping to cop some free cobblestone or food.
    I’m not convinced this is one of the biggest support factors for implementing this idea as the majority of well-built casinos are ‘spammable’ and are just slightly slow at dishing out the items. The server lag doesn’t help too much either.

    There is a similar suggestion for sign shop cooldowns, so I'll go ahead and support this one too.

    definitely a support, it does get a quite upsetting when one player buys out your items.

    Definitely a big fat support! I have a free cobble chest on my island, but most of the time it gets cleared when new players randomly visit my island, or when ranked players see me advertising or something. This happens even though I have multiple signs up saying not to take too much. I have lots of cobble to give away, so I end up trying to only load the chest up with a few stacks of cobble at a time so they can't buy more, which becomes frustrating. I think this would be a great simple addition!

    I fully support. In older incarnations of the server, I had machines that kept chests blocked until full to minimize spam. I'm also currently working on a clag detector based casino that could be adapted to serve that need today. Without getting too spammy I can go as low as a 30 second latency or as high as 3 hours.

    One thing to wonder is would the time apply to each player, or the chest globally?
    Also, would the timer only be able to count down when the chest was in a loaded chunk? If so, then it's far more scalable. Otherwise, you could have millions of rows of data associated with cooldowns and it would get so unmanagable.

    I think you'd probably also want to limit the number of timer chests a player can have. I can see a lot of scalability issues with this. Great idea from a functional perspective but could be difficult from a technical one, especially as my understanding is that the chest shop plugin was not developed in house.
