Either make the agree rating neutral, or the disagree rating "positive" (prefer the former).
Having the same view or opinion on something is not immediately positive.
Liking something, yes. Being friendly, definitely.
Compatibility of opinions isn't automatically positive (although it can be, just as the "old" rating can be positive).

I would prefer the agree rating to be neutral - yet the act of disagreeing and participating in forum discussion, voicing your opinion and discussing, could also be seen as positive, which is a reason to make the disagree positive, thereby having both ratings be positive.
In my opinion the actual content of the post should matter far more than the act of participating in ratings, not solely the act of participating, which is why I'd prefer both to be neutral.
As Fun says in the suggestion rules:

The only case where the word "agree" is connoted positively is when it is matched with to like: "This lobster agrees with me" or vice versa; "Last nights Chinese Food did not agree with me".

If you keep the "agree" rating as a positive rating, then by the same logic the "dislike" rating should be negative. As said, it would be best if both are neutral.

I agree, Just because someone has a similar opinion to you doesn't make it anymore valid than another's. Agreeing or Disagreeing does not make it positive or negative. We all have opinions, and I don't think it's necessarily fair to make the agree rating more valid than a disagree. Support, I think both ratings should be neutral, as it should be welcomed to agree or disagree with someone without reward or consequence on a forum.

Often those who disagree are the ones that are wrong.

Hi, unfortunately we will not be changing this.
This is down to a large amount of factors, however the main one is the fact that it's such a minor change yet it would affect the whole community in the number of positive ratings they have. Some active members have around 1000 agree ratings and it would not be beneficial for those players to lose those positive ratings (I'm sure they would not be pleased, as would I) and it does not create a huge difference to the server. You could argue the fact that when you agree with someone, that's a positive thing as the comment you have said has influenced others to think the same thing. I would not make disagree negative though because the negative ratings are saved for rude posts etc. We already have plenty of neutral ratings and I don't particularly want to unbalance our ratings to have them mostly neutral because of the reasoning, it's down to personal opinion. I hope you understand why this suggestion will be denied.
