Accepted [Phr33z] Duping/Exploits [Kerahna] [Accepted]

It’s been about 3 weeks to a month since I’ve been banned. It’s also extremely unfortunate for the timing of this as I was talking with Wonkie 3 days before I was banned about becoming a mod. This has set me back about a year.

2. Platform you were banned on: Skyblock
3. Ban message/reason: Duping/exploits
4. Have you read the rules? Yes.
5. Do you think this ban was incorrect? Not at all.
6. Please list any other times you have been banned on any of our platforms: About a year ago for Speed-Hacks in the mob-arena (I forgot that any form of hacks were banned in Mob Arena, not just Kill-Aura).
7. Why would you like to be unbanned? I would like to be unbanned as Skyblock was my favourite server, and probably the only Minecraft server I’ve really dedicated myself to since 2014. There’s really no other way to apologise except by saying I’m sorry and I won’t do it again, restraining myself from doing things that aren’t allowed on most servers (like in this case, duping). But in the most part, it is partly my fault as I did engage in this exploit and never reported it, let j86 (accomplice of whom was also banned) keep feeding me diamond armor to sell on his own island for the fact that it was much more desirable then my own. There are only 3 people who know this exploit, one who was j86, one I don’t know. But for the most part, I performed this exploit a total of 5 times then never again. I was banned a week later for having tradeshops on j86’s island (which I will destroy).
8. How will you prevent yourself from being banned again? I’ve already attempted to fix this exploit by contacting multiple mods and developers (Mafrorific can back me up on this) and suggesting fixes to plugins. The main exploit that was being abused were 2 things: Phasing into the mob arena, and performing an anti-teleportation glitch which allowed us to move items off of the Mob-Arena island. My 2 fixes for this was either fix the /pet plugin and parts of /ma, which are already being heavily abused, or automatically remove someone from mob-arena if they leave the zone/island.

oh sh, I forgot about thinking of that. As for SalC1, I haven't contacted him about it for around a month. I told him that I could tell him how to execute the exploit just as long as he didn't do it on Skyblock, but he had to find other servers that it worked on because at the time, j86 and I were using it privately.



And you were right about us trying to dupe at every possible activity, but that's changed. It's been a month of being banned. I've been playing anarchy servers such as 2b2t lately as well, where duping is almost encouraged.

But I know the rules of skyblock, and dupes aren't allowed. I also heard that 52 banned another person, like me, was duping, for 30 days and not permanently. A lot more quickly and efficiently than me as well.

 

Oh if that's what it was for.

From what I've learnt, Skyblock runs on Spigot. And all current public duplication methods are patched on Spigot (as that's the same thing 2b runs on), and I don't know of any private ones that work. The latest public one, the Donkey Dupe, does not work on Spigot at all. The book dupe will get you banned in a second. the 11/11 dupe (drop your item and disconnect while the server's lagging) has been patched for 4 years now. They're the major ones that I know on 1.12.2, along with the Mob-Arena and /pet dupe, which is the one j86 and I used, have been patched enough to not be usable again, but it's still possible to do. From what another player who I won't mention has told me, there is still an ender chest on fungamer333's island.

I will not attempt or even consider duping here again, as what I do majority of the time is interact with the community.

edit: I was never able to get donkey dupe to work even on vanilla servers.
