I had started playing again less than a week ago, and after finding out ores can gen, that is how I have spent most of my time. However I've spent upwards up 12 hours just mining cobble, and with this I have recieved plenty of coal, a few ores of redstone and lapiz, and only 1 gold ore and only 2 iron ores. Is this the natural rate of ores? Is there anything I can do to increase the chance of iron ore? This is with using 3 different designs for my gen.

    Thank you

I have a used a 10x13 stone gen that after using a few hours genned no iron, I got my first iron from a simple 1x13 cobble gen, and I have gotten my most recent 2 (I just got another one about 15 minutes ago) from a 2x2 cobble gen with a gen being made 6 blocks up and a additional gen 6 blocks down, which I have been using for countless hours at this point. No beacons just a eff 4 pick. The server change doesent seem to describe this. Does the biome have any effect on the rate?

Nothing changes rate of ore production. Did you try to use a modded version of minecraft to collect the cobble?

No. I am just asking because players seem to be having trouble mining from their stone or cobble generators since the changelog mentioned above.

Only way to increase ore output is to have more lava so as to make more cobble or stone at the same time.

I have cobble being genned in 8 places in the current design, the rate is annoyingly low, being ive spent more iron to make the gen than I have obtained in 4 days of mining

You know, the ore generation is not the only source for iron. The are some players that sell iron from shops on their islands. They also can be earned from voting for the server.

You could probably gather other items in game and offer to trade them for iron as well. Wood logs are always in demand.

I understand. I particularly enjoy having to learn to be creative around limited resources though. I reduce my hoppers by setting up multiple water channels to carry items to one spot. I also use slime blocks to save on setting up several pistons in a row.

Did you afk mine? If so that’s the issue due the new rules that doesn’t allow us to afk mine/nuker your cobble/stone will stop breaking since the server has detected you being afk.
