Ya I ran a 1.14.4 test server. It’s so unstable my god There’s no way the server could update with all its plugins
Sometimes when i'm building i find it impossible, if i make a mistake it will take ages to fix due to the amount of time it takes to destroy a block and finally place it back down. Or when it gets so bad u destroy a block and go to where it was but it comes back and u start suffocating... The amount of times i have died from that oml. I decided it would be easier to build with fly so I got it and I don't have that issue anymore but still. We need this fixed cause it can be very unappealing to new players.
I can totally agree with you, I nearly died a few times in the nether while bridging due to the block pushing me off, I could've lost my expensive God enchanted diamond armor
I suggest you force a single minecraft version, opening up the server to multiple versions causes ( if I remember correctly) for the need to render something multiple times, thus causing lag. Forcing a specific minecraft version and sticking with it should reduce lag severly.
Its been a year since a team won in ma j, not anymore cause of the lag, we cant play and enjoy ma j please fix it :[
It really depends what else was going on, there could have been a player with a really laggy machine online Have you or anyone else since the removal of friends, marry, & staff noticed a difference in latency or lag spikes since then?
Yes I have actually notice a considerable improvement. To be honest although the /marry commands were Coll they were a little useless.
Okay good to know And yes, it's just a cool little feature to play with. We will eventually add them back, we just have to recode it all to work more efficiently.
I came back from like a 1 year break on the server just to check it out for like an hour or two and experienced little to no lag so great job!
I’m having some troubles with redstone I feel like it may still be bugged some of my redstone isn’t working correctly
I agree with all of you, I cannot even stand being a donor on a server that is too laggy. MCPH is a good host idea, but they host all of the servers one like one machine so it will push down the quality. If they changed to something like ServerMiner or Shockbyte, we'd never see lag again. Noobcrew doesn't like the lag himself, but with my experience on the server before, lag was no problem. I wonder why we changed to the crap host that we have today or how we even begun with lag. I would quit like other nondonors, but I support the server and think that Noobcrew can switch to MCPH or Shockbyte. I truly recommend MCPH as it's cheap for unlimited ram and players, but please can one of the staff members (dev, mod or smods) please link this message to Noob in a dm or something? Noob can choose between MCPH or Shockbyte. It may take a few days or a week to move all the data over, but to get rid of this terrible lag issue, it will be worth the money used and cause! These types of server hosts are always a bad idea for large servers and they are made mostly for small 5-10 player servers. You're basically sharing a machine with perhaps 10+ other servers or more, that's basically how their business works. Instead of renting a dedicated server from a datacenter, you're renting a Minecraft server shared with others on a dedicated server in which they rent from a datacenter. We however have our own dedicated servers and not too long ago we moved everything to the fastest hardware we can get. Everyone tends to think we are running everything on one machine which can slow everything down, but we have 4 machines specifically for Skyblock now and nothing interacts with each other or slows each other down, they're all separate just linked together using Bungeecord. Unlimited ram that they advertise btw doesn't exist and unlimited players is basically saying you can hold a 100000 players if you'd like but good luck. When it truly comes down to it, even if we improved all that we could on our side, we will always hit a limit as our issues are rooted from being on 1.12.2 itself. If we had the exact same set up as we do now and if we were running on 1.8.8, we could be doing 400-500 players. And if we were on 1.14.4 fully, we could probably do about 40 players.. each version of Minecraft since the beginning of time has always gotten slower and slower and the most recent ones are horrible. Mojang has never seemed to care about improving performance for servers, most servers today are on 1.8 for this exact reason along with the PvP mechanics of course. I'm sure a lot of our players remember when we used to be capped at 500 players just fine and to be honest we probably had more issues relating to plugins or entities causing latency than we do today. We wouldn't want to ever downgrade though, as we'd lose a lot of features and blocks that 1.12.2 brings. Anyways, hope this is of some help into why things are how they are right now. But we have done quite a bit these past couple months and we still have a lot to do to get the servers to a more lag free experience. We're hoping for a 150 player cap per server with no issues and maybe we'll have some different server types in the future too so we can still grow of course.
