At least a couple of times a week, a new mod application is posed that has to be denied by a moderator due to the player simply not meeting the application requirements.

My suggestion is that all forums users should be unable to create a new thread in the moderator application section of forums until they meet the requirements of 50 post count, 2 weeks registered and potentially having 2FA enabled but this may be harder to verify automatically.

It may also be a good idea to somehow explain to the user why they can't post there yet as they may try to post it in another section of forums.

I assume this shouldn't be too hard to implement as ratings are unlocked after a certain number of messages and date of account creation is stored too. (2FA verification may be harder but probably not impossible).

Support. It’s probably 5 year old kids doing this tbh.

I like this idea. It shouldn't be too hard as you have to disable the ability to make threads. Not sure if that is how it's done but I feel like there's something similar to this

    So support

Support. There has been and still are many new people applying even though they don't meet the requirements, their application would end up getting denied and the majority of them just no longer get on the forums after their applications were denied thus showing they aren't dedicated enough to meet the requirements.

    Support,

It starts to get annoying when people don't read the requirements.

Support, of course! This shouldn't be that hard to implement, right...? After all, we already have rating restrictions for accounts with under 25 posts.

    Neutral.
I don't see new accounts making a mod app something we cannot handle quite easily. I never did mind the forums pre mod app requirements. I thought we never needed them (apart from 2fa) because we would know whos active and who to suggest.
Whether it blocks them from posting or not I am not worried

Yeah, I agree but even though it can be easily solved by clicking a few buttons, it is unnecessary and easily prevented (+ preventing totally unnecessary posts)

Though there is really no issue. People make unnecessary posts all the time so a few more doesn’t hurt

    Support,

I think it would be awesome that if a Dev could some how add like a restriction when they click to create new staff application. To elaborate if a new player goes to staff application and tries to create new thread a message should put up saying you don't fill the requirements.

Eh, it's not really a big thing. It's not like the entire forum is filled with spam applications twice a day. I wouldn't mind if it was added, but it's not a major necessity. :)
