Something that came into my mind in the last few days was: "why cant i give a specific person permission to use buttons, leavers or anything similiar at my island"

I think it shouldn't be to hard to implement and would make the life of a lot of people easier.

For example: i dont have a problem with having public nether portals but if to many people go trough the portal, the portal will eventually get griefed at the other side. I saw it happening a few times already (for example redstonetrails portal)
The same thing with anvils, almost no one wants to make them public because people would start abusing it.

So by having a command like /permission Buttons [name] or /perm for short or even /trust buttons [name].
you could give certain people a little bit more power at your island without the need to /trust them or activating it for everyone
And that would ultimately create a more controllable environment.

You could also use it for fun things like VIP rooms or even do certain mini games where one team can only operate leavers while the other can only use buttons etc.

    Pro:
    Makes everthing more controlled
you dont need to give out /trust for everthing
less griefing, -> less work for the mods/helper
you can use it for some fun stuff

    Con:
People could hold a grudge against someone because they are not allowed to certain areas
but then again you can do the same by just /guest bann them

i cant realy think of a reason why this would be a bad idea, maybe i am just blind. If that was the case it would be nice if someone could clarify me

i thought that if there is already a way to give a single person rights (/trust) and a way to give all people the ability to use certain things at your island at (/setting) it shouldn't be to hard to do both at once right ? but then again im not to experienced in that field. And thx for the support :) and as fast as always

Support. It would really be great instead of having to /trust a person thus giving him permission to do anything on the island (breaking, placing blocks, having access to chests, etc) as you would able to give the person a certain access to something on the island. That's if its possible and could be implemented.

Thank you, another situation is, when you want to help someone at their island (building, redstone,or whatever) they need to /trust you and keep an eye at you 24/7 or allow everyone to do it which most of the time results in /lock which is a pain too

I'm not sure how easy it would be to implement this but I think it's a great idea, support. It'd be great to allow certain people to do specific things and would give people more control over what people can do on their island.

+support, some servers already have this as a plugin, probably similar to lockette I think. I'd like to see this added.

Support I can see how this would be very helpful in many situations it would make it easier to be able to have more people interact with your island

I don't actually see that as being hard to implement, so much so I am tempted to give it a go myself. Might be easier if it was done via a command (eg. /settings add <player name> <setting> <true/false>), rather than a GUI as this would save time and also hopefully not confuse players who don't need anything as extensive at this.

i think so too, thats why i suggested things like "/trust buttons [name]" for example, since its basically the same as "/trust" you could also add "/untrust buttons [name] " for that purpose

Support as then you can give some parts of your island free to public access but some to yourself
