Updated to allow latest MC client 1.14.2 for all servers. Saplings now grow just a tad faster than before. Made some minor changes to help with performance. Changed an overlooked MC vanilla setting that restricted squids to only spawn between height Y 45 and Y 63, changed the max of 63 to Y 250 so squids can spawn more normally on Skyblock.
The nether reset is going to completely change diamond value and at the rate we're going, diamonds and iron will eventually be the same value. Classic has managed to keep a decently stable economy for over 6 years. Sure, we've had our ups and downs with the classic economy. But it's never had any real problems with diamonds. If you ask me, 20 grass is a perfect price for diamonds. Sure, everything needs to change, but I think that the nether being released has basically ruined diamonds. If we reset, diamonds will go to 2-3 grass each. Eventually this will go to 1-2. At the rate we're going this is. This is personally part of the reason skyblock has lost lots of the attention the server once had, and roughly 60% of its 2017 playerbase. There's no going back now, I understand. Personally, I don't think resetting the nether will do the server any good. However, we will find a way. We always do. ~Archie
I suggest just getting rid of the chests this would allow us to keep our value prices good and still be able to harvest netherquartz or replace all diamonds and iron with grass and then the diamond value would rise
I wasn't aware diamonds did spawn in fortress chests lol. The most I've seen are golden horse armour Finding a couple of diamonds at low chances wouldn't affect the economy really. Skytitans get 3 diamonds every 2 days from their kits. Since we have tons of skytitans, the value of diamonds would decrease cause there's a lot in circulation You can't remove items as that would be changing the game. What you could do is alter the chances of getting diamonds, like what noob did for quartz
Completely agree with you Chris here, didn’t think of this one, I don’t mind the value going down due to skytitans getting em as they simply won’t go down in value unless it’s very slowly in this case.
great update. surprised to see the squid height changed but to all complaining about the diamond value its a trade economy, their value is so low because no one wants them. if you remember last 4th of July when you could craft the Independence day picks diamond values nearly tripled for a while. but aside from tools there no real value to diamonds on the server. i think their current price is more than reasonable. you must remember grass is the only official currency on the server everything else is based off of demand. also I'm pretty sure its got more to do with people having multiple high level donors alts bringing in multiple diams each day, than the number of diams farmed from the nether.
