Reboot countdown

    Hey!

    Can you add a small countdown before any reboot? Being kicked without notifications is not cool. Then doing a system like WoW would be really awesome. The WoW system notify for 15m / 10m / 5m / 1m / 30s / 15s / 5s / 4s / 3s / 2s / reboot

    Not actually 15 min, but 5 min would be ok.

    But yea adding notifications would be fine.

    There is a restart timer for scheduled restarts, but we sometimes have to restart the server manually for bug fixes, and for those, we send a broadcast spaced out a few seconds to give players a heads-up, but it's understandable if players don't notice it.

    I would say a 5 minute warning would help a lot, support.

    Even for bugfix all reboot should be delayed by 5 minutes and have a countdown :/

    The server restarts all happen at the same time everyday which, if you really wanted to be on top of it, find out what time that is for you. I don’t mind if there was a 5-10 minute notice but I don’t feel there is a desperate need or something players would get overly freaked out over after experiencing it once.

    Neutral when their a manual reboot lee usually lets people know through console

    Whenever we do a manual restart, it's usually something urgent and we always try to give some warnings beforehand. Sometimes we do shut it down pretty quick, but this is usually during very late night times.

    However, for the automatic restart that goes off at 8AM (EST) every morning, I went ahead and made it so that it gives multiple warnings 15 minutes before, versus 60 seconds. We can see how 60 seconds might be way too early for some to even see.
