im a classic player, and i have a very weird bug with my beacons. they dont work but if i place glass on them they work for 8 sec and then stop working again. can any mod come and check it out? my ig name is sivan
Are these the beacons you are talking about? They are under your island at /visit Sivan. They seem to be fine, they are lit and stay lit for me. Classic runs on 1.8, so if you're not already on that version, perhaps if you can try switching versions so it won't be glitchy for you.
The beacon block cannot have any opaque block above it. The beacon must be exposed to the sky for it to work. Somehow a bedrock block is an exception. Double check your pyramid under the beacon. Make sure there is no missing block in the layers. The beacon menu is notoriously buggy on /classic. Just keep re-opening that menu to put your ingot/ diamond/ emerald there. It will take you a lot of attempts. Good thing is you won't lose the ingot/diamond/emerald until the beacon effect works.
Thie isnt the problem, the beacons should work, i built it as it needs to be, and gave it the iron to start it. And as i said the beacons work, the effect doesnt. For some reason they just dont, when i place a glass block on the beacons it gives the 8 sec of the speed boost (for example) and then stops, then i brake that glass and it give another 8 sec. But it doesnt stay. Thats why i built that weird redstone thing next to that beacons.
Try out version 1.8 and see if it'll help with your problem. Make sure to also check for what Cyk said:
