At this point, lottery isn't an enjoyable feature to play with. At least on economy

 

I see your point quite well. What i think you dont see is that each player is limited to two lottery tickets for a good reason. If they allow alts buying tickets they should allow people buying more than two tickets. Easy peasy

 

Seeing 4bots spamming lot buy to buy tickets, I now feel like this is really unfair and needs to be fixed

 

Buddy, buy more alts or stop complaining. Ez fix. Nothing they do can fix this issue, if its ip based even it would still be easy to bypass.

 

She rarely does it, and when she does:
1) It's just for fun
2) Rarely makes profit out of it
3) Makes the pot go up A LOT

Exactly! I see this happen maybe 2 days a week (if that) and im on basicly everyday..

 

even if she is doing it at all, it discourage new players anyway from the lottery, who think they will never have a chance to win. Doing that basically guarantees that she will win.

 

Buying with all these alts only happends sometimes, and not even for herself to win a huge amount of money. She does it to get people excited.
Do you buy tickets at all for yourself? And if so would you rather win 2000 or 9000?

If you dont like it, just dont play. It's as easy as that..

Well, I guess since everyone has already stated their point 2+ times about this subject, I'll go ahead and say mine again too

If you take some time to actually do some #mathishard you will find that whether you buy 1 ticket or 100 tickets, you'll statistically come out about even in the end if you keep playing. Someone who buys a ton of tickets with multiple bots is going to win most of the time, however lose proportionately the times they don't win. Someone who only buys 1 ticket is going to lose most of the time, but win proportionately more.

I would also suggest that the limit of 2 tickets per player is to control pot size, not an attempt to control the odds.

 

Don't forget that the lottery bots can cause a lot of spam

 

Yes, the spam can be annoying. Perhaps they could fix this by hiding purchasing messages and allowing players to use a command to see how many tickets were purchased by players if they wanted to see.

Yeah, but the vast majority of players are not going to put forge on probably. But, yeah it works great!

 

Nuetral, I don’t realky play the lotto. Would rather spend my grass in other ways... but I have to agree there can be a lot of spam from the lotto.

 

Please read before using mathematical arguments:


you're all thinking far too logically.
When playing the lottery, the person with many accounts does not earn or lose more money compared to him playing with one account. He is still bound by the rules of chance.

However, one player with many accounts reduces the chances of other people winning. While there is a 50% chance of winning when 1-1, in a 1-1 where person 2 has 9 alts (1-10) there's a 10% chance of winning. As said of course purely mathematically speaking it is irrelevant since if the one person wins he will win proportionally more.
Watching one or a few people win the lottery over and over again though is demotivating and makes people less likely to play since the chance of them winning is significantly reduced (even though they earn proportionally more when they do win).

It's a psychological effect which isn't based on mathematical logic. It reduces entertainment value when playing, and even severely influences the previously logical mathematics, now giving mathematical favor to the person with many accounts. Because this server is based on general entertainment more than the purely the acquisition of money, limiting the number of alternate accounts in the lottery makes sense.
