There was a helpful warp back in 2014 located in /warp skybase, we used to have private rooms where nobody can steal our items while we trade. In 2019, If we do /warp trade we get teleported to /warp grass. If /warp trade gets added, this will fix the problems of people losing their items in trades while thiefs steal them.
I remember the little trading thingies. It was nice, but a main problem nowadays are scammers who as soon as they pick up the other person's items vanish, and since tradeshops are a thing maybe this should be so necessary? Neutral leaning to support
There are gullible people who don’t know about tradeshops or sometimes they want to trade for something they don’t have that they need to use to hit their chest shop sign with. I think this is good for that, yeah?
You can just get inside a sealed off room inside your island and tp people there, so it's not really that necessary, so neutral
There's still the problem of people ghosting on trades and not knowing if the other person has what they claim to have. I can build a vanilla redstone machine for safe trading on my gf's acc/alt right now. (I moved it to /visit warptrade) Both parties are in enclosed rooms and are able to see each other's offer thrown down. They both have to check and confirm the trade for their items to be sent to the other room. If someone doesn't like a trade, it can be canceled and sent back to the players. I can show you how it works in game if anyone wants to see.
Neutral. It would be nice to have for nostalgia, but I'd much rather people learn to use the tradeshop plugin we have. Trading chests still have a chance of you getting scammed, it just protects you from losing items to ground item wipe or people stealing thrown items. Tradeshops have 100% effectiveness, where the only way you can be scammed is by misreading something and scamming yourself. With the ability to setup a chest that you can buy, sell, or trade for exactly what you want with no real risk of being scammed, it feels a bit redundant to setup an old-fashioned trading booth.
We could have a button that calls a Staff Member to watch the trade, It would be hard to make trade shops to buy rares. Bumping this.
This soo true. I hate it when people complain about being scammed out of trade chest. You only have yourself to blame if you misread it. Also support to the trading rooms I think this would be a cool idea. It would aslo add something new to the trading area, in which I think is much needed.
