Due to the fact that a handful of staff aren't that active plus an additional server being brought back, the staff that are on often times can't be in two places at once. So almost like a doorbell, doing /mod will send a gentle poke towards any moderator. It might look something like this: ----------------------------------- PROS: *Can call out to a potentially online staff member if one just simply isnt on your server, or isnt responding. *Gets the definite attention of a staff member [Example of how it can be used positively:] Once upon a time, a new player was really deep in the nether when suddenly racist chat bots raid the server. He immediately calls for help with /mod without it being inconvenient for him or her to try and seek a mod or fill a report out. CONS: *Players may abuse this privilege. [FIX: Three-strike-system] [When a player deliberately abuses the command, a moderator may give them a "strike" which would become logged forever (or for x amount of time). Racking up three strikes would disable the command] *Players might spam the command [FIX: 1 minute cool-down]
Support many players may need help and they don’t know how to get in contact with a staff member, This would make it much easier for players to be able to ask for help and be assured help the quickest.
Support, it would really be helpful for these players because some of the moderators like me might be on economy and there's no mod on Skyblock, so instead of going there, they can simply type in the command /mod notifying us they need help with a certain thing.
Support, it’s a good idea. Perhaps a couple of tweaks to the suggestion: Add a command allowing the mod to respond acknowledging that they’ve seen the request. Often we’re busy helping another player first and need to finish what we’re doing before scooting off elsewhere. Add a longer cooldown than 1 minute. One of the worst things is being spammed continuously but having multiple PMs etc and you can’t handle 3 things at once. Adding more spam is likely to make things worse - plus, a cooldown will stop others abusing it for fun. If there are mods on the server the player has done /mod on, it won’t send an alert to the mod, but instead tell the player to PM the moderator directly as that will be more efficient.
Support, but I do think that these suggestions: should be added to it to ensure this isn't abused and can be as effective as possible
Agree, I have seen a couple of players who needed staff help but I have no choice but to try to direct them to forum page or discord to get in contact with a staff but with this command this will help a lot! -Support
Support, This will be helpful for players on servers without any staff on while there is staff on one of the 4 skyblock servers, This can make the bots go away.
Support for all apart from the ' Three-strike-system'. There is already a system in place for rule breakers.
