Because ever since I can remember, island farming is a rule that no one understands. Heck, even I island farmed when i was new to the server. The simplest way to stop massive island farming is to only allow one island reset per (insert hours here) and allow a max per ip which will stop most people. Not being salty but we end up with a lot of not so important things being implemented before things that would stop players being banned and leaving so soon.
forgot to mention staff have been log checking so thats why. Seems silly that they get checked once a month or once a week or some long period of time between and not like daily or something if island farming is that much of an issue oof
Well yeah but they get banned and all their hard work gets reset at the end so what's the point or is it just that a ton of people think they won't get caught?
Most of the island farmers that have been banned recently island farmed like days, weeks or months ago but until now the staff "hunted" them down and I got surprised that some people whom I thought would never do such a thing would island farm as some of the island farmers' islands are great but unfortunately the "grass" was obtained illegally sadly. Probs the reason for their island farming is that their desperation to get their island done rather than waiting months to obtain enough grass legally for their islands and some of the island farmers island farmed to make farms to gain profits as I've seen a couple of their islands mostly including large sugar cane farms, melon farms, etc... So I would really suggest adding most of the rules to /rules and explaining what is island farming in depth as I've seen lots of new people asking what does "island farming" mean as I myself when I first heard it I thought it was meant that its illegal to make farms on islands so probably the others might think of it as that.
I agree that a rule specifying what island farming is, and the punishments for it should be added When I joined and saw the term used for the first time, I genuinely freaked out because I thought it meant I couldn't have farms on my island haha
I hadn't island farmed in a month, I've grown as person and a I believe I am now a responsible member of the community. ALSO I GOT 30,000 DIRT BLOCKS!!!
Most of the people that have recently banned for island farming are people that have been on the server quite some time now and should know what island farming means and what you can't/can do. Although, explaining island farming to newer players is a must-do, or alternatively renaming the term 'island farming' to something clearer and easily understood.
Well some of them were professionals, that set up a macro to farm islands. That are most likely alts of well know people? What do u think?
